2012 Family Calendar - Set 2

Hello World.... I have to tell ya, it feels strange writing a blog post, after not writing one for so long. I feel like I have been gone longer than I have been. 2012 is right around the corner, and I am so looking forward to starting a fresh. I am blessed though, every morning, I am given the opportunity from the Lord, to start a new. I know that there has been times this past year that I could've done more for the Lord, and that is what I am talking about.... Just getting my projects out there, and blessing someone with this gift of creativity that the Lord has given me. Today, spending time with the Lord has given me time to reflect back on the year and how I have been truly blessed by Him - I cannot thank Him enough for the things that He has blessed me with. Both Good and Bad things are blessings from the Lord. The bad things has made me seek Him more during those trials, trusting in HIM that all will turn out OK - and as bad as I may have felt during these times, Praising HIM was what got me through them. The good things to remind me of how an awesome and amazing God he is, that He just blesses me continually, even though I know that I have done wrong, He still Loves me with all His heart, and never gives up in having hope for me. So Thank U, Lord!! Thank U for your blessings in 2011!!! I am totally looking forward to my time with YOU in 2012!!

Ok gang, let's pray that 2012 is going to be a fun ride, huh?? I have a couple of more pages to share with you that I created for my Calendar - which by the way is FINALLY on it's way to me. It's taking awhile, so I hope I've learned my lesson. Next year to order earlier and get it printed sooner than I did this year!! I truly enjoyed digitally scrapping these calendar pages, and I really want to make Digital Scrapbooking a part of my projects more on a daily basis! I have to!!! It's to preserve the memories for my children, right?? Well, that is one of my goals for 2012. It has been a goal for a while now, but I always have something else to do than that. Ugh!! Now is the time to do it! It's so easy to do, and is portable. I should be able to take the kids to the park and digi scrap, right? Well, sometimes, not as easy as it sounds, because I would need a nice shady place to sit, and that isn't always the case when you go to the park. Look at me, making excuses already??? LOL.... well, I have got to try SOMETHING to make me design at least 1 page a day!

Well, here are the pages I am sharing with you today. I hope to post more of them tomorrow....

If you have any questions regarding what digital elements I used, feel free to comment and I will reply to you here. Have a blessed day in the Lord... and praying that the rest of your week is a blessed one as well.

Aloha,
Jen

2012 Family Calendar - Set 1

Hi Gang!! We miss you guys... sorry, we {Ali n' I} have been busy, and we are sure that you are all busy as well during this time of year!! We have decided to put a HOLD on our Fun Cut Challenge for now, and start back up on it come January. We have so much crafting we are doing right now, making gifts for family and friends, and working on Christmas cards for the locked up lambs at the Juvi home. So we had no choice but to put a halt on the challenge. We look forward to the new year though, when we can relax again, and start the year all over again, and then go crazy with the challenges.

The project that I just recently completed is our 2012 Family Calendar. I used digital scrapbooking elements to create my page layouts. I just could fit all the pictures that I wanted. But I got the best of them. I will share 3 pages per blog post to not over load you with so much decorated pages at one time. I hope you like them....

Here are the 1st set of pages: Cover, January and February:

I used a bunch of different digital scrapbooking elements, if there is a particular element that you are interested in, and would like to know where I got it from, feel free to comment and ask me, and I will let you know. Thanks for peeking and have a blessed day!!

Aloha,
Jen

Happy Birthday to my lil' guy....

Hey All... December is such a crazy month for me n' my fam-bam, especially because our 2nd son was born during this month. Planning his birthday during this month can get kinda crazy. So this year, we are having his birthday party sometime in January instead. But I still wanted to recognize this special day - the day he was born. So here is a little Happy Birthday to my lil guy, Cy-Cy, who is 7 years old today!!!

We continue to pray that he stays close to Our Lord, Jesus Christ, and that his walk with the Lord flourishes throughout the years. God Bless You, my baby!!!

Have a great rest of the week, everyone!! We're taking some McD's Happy Meals over to his school to help celebrate his special day today. :o)

Much Hugs n' Aloha, Jen

Christmas Faith Songs For HIS Glory Blog Hop.....

Hi Gang!! Aloha and Happy Wednesday!! Today I am participating in a blog hop with these lovely talented ladies listed below. You should've just came from Susan's blog. Together, we are worshiping the King and the reason for the season!!! We each selected beautiful songs that are about our Lord n' Savior, Jesus Christ! Our host, Kari (who is the 1st stop of this blog hop) is offering up a blog candy, so be sure to start at her blog to get the details on what it is you need to do to qualify for her goodies.

I have chosen the song "O Holy Night".... I just LOVE this beautiful song!! I loved it way before I gave my life to the Lord, and loved it even more thereafter, because it had a whole new meaning!! The Night that the Lord was born was a most Holy One!! He was born unto us, so that he could fulfill prophecy and offer us a way into heaven. I know that for those of you that don't know Him, might think that this sounds crazy!! That is exactly how I've felt when I was told about Him the 1st time. But as I've seen the changes that He has done in my life, my husband's life, my family life... wow, what an awesome God He is!! I look forward to the many changes that will take place in my life because of Him. But I thank Him, and on that night that He was born to us, it was truly a Holy Night.

The project that I have been working on is a calendar. I have several calendars that I've been working on; a digital one to have printed up and given to my family members, and a desk top one. The desk top one is one created with die cuts and will be on a wire bounding. Here is the month of December, which I found it perfect to be for the "O Holy Night" song. The die cuts are from My Scrap Chick. Love this set!!!

Here is a video of Mariah Carey, my favorite singer, singing my favorite Christmas song.... enjoy!!
