Blog n' Craftin' Break

Hi Gang!

The craft fair this past weekend was fun, but it wasn't much of a success. However, the fellowship with my girlfriends, Barb and Wini was worth the day! I was also able to share the day with a couple of my Christians sisters, there were just a couple of booths away. Now, I need to take a break, and get this house ready for Thanksgiving. So I'm going to not create or post for a couple of days. The more focused I am on getting this house clean, the quicker I can get back into creating and posting again. I will post the winner of the blog candy on Thursday. I will also update the receiving of SWAPS for November when they arrive. When I return, I will post pics o the craft fair, and some of the projects that I created for it. I have another craft fair coming up on the 4th & 5th of December, so I have to get ready for that one too.

Anyhoos... I hope you are all having a blessed day. I will be back in a couple of days!

Blessings,
Jen

Stampin' Up! Project from Holiday Retreat

Hey Gang,

I'm busily creating for my Craft Fair coming up this weekend. If you are on Oahu, and would love to check out this craft fair, it is located on Hickam Air Force base. It is open to the public, so don't be afraid to come and shop! I will be at booth #15, my girlfriend Les will be @ booth #32, and my other girlfriend Ann will be @ booth #47. I can't wait, seems like this time of year is when all the Craft Fairs start popping up. I haven't really created much for any craft fair, but I think I have to start hustling and using the products I already have so that I can get them moving out of my collection.

Anyways, in the mean time, I will share with you more of what the Holiday Retreat had in store for us, since I haven't had the chance to take any pics of the projects I am making.

This is a 2-panel tag box. We made the box, and 6 tags (2 each of 3 different ones) to go into this box. All created with Stampin' Up! products. Let me know if you have any questions as to which products were used. Otherwise, if you wanna shop Stampin' Up! now, click here.

Don't forget! I have a Blog Candy Giveaway going on... scroll down to check it out.

Wooo Hoooo!!!

Hugs,
Jen

Retreat: Our Dinner @ Sansei

Oh Alright... you've waited LONG enough... I know you are just dying to see what went on this weekend at the Holiday Retreat. Well, first, on Friday, my hubby was sweet enough get off of work early, to fetch the kids, so that Barb and I could leave a little earlier to go to dinner at Sansei's. Sansei's is a sushi restaurant located in Waikiki, at the same hotel that our Holiday Retreat was held at. It was Barb's 1st time eating there, and I wasn't sure if she was going to like it, but I was please to know that she really LOVED it. Here are pics of our delicious meal. Special thanks to God for allowing us to attend this retreat together.

Soft Shell Crab:

Sorry, we ate this before I took a pic, it was a Lobster/Crab Ravioli...
This one too... hahahaaaaa, ate most of it before taking a pic, this one was a Panko Ahi Roll...

Seared Ahi Salad:

My FAVORITE!!!! Shrimp Dynamite... I could go there just to eat THIS!:
My plate... hahaha....
Shrimp Tempura Roll:
Barb's dessert: Apple Ala Mode:

My dessert - Fried Ice Cream (for the record, I thought Barb's dessert tasted better!).
We had dinner reservations @ 5:30 pm., and was able to jump in on their "early bird" special, so we got 20% off of our meal! The environment was great, except there was a kid on the next table coughing, and I kept thinking about how I SO didn't want to get sick again. >0< Everytime that kid coughed, I tried to hold my breath. LOL!!! Other than that, it was terrific! The company of Barb's friendship was especially the best. I can't wait to do that with MORE girlfriends!! We ate n' ate n' ate, and was FINALLY out of there by 7:15 pm to attend the retreat by 7:30 pm. Tooo fun... more pics to come!

Hugs,
Jen

Prayer Request

Yooo Hoooo... what a way to start the week, with Prayer Requests. I usually have a page for prayer requests, I think an updated request on Mondays would be helpful.

I need your prayers.. pls pray for my girlfriend, and her hubby who are currently going through strains in their marriage. Please pray that they seek wisdom and strength through God. They are a SAVED couple, and the Lord just wants to hear our cry outs for help on this marriage... please pray!!

Infact, while you're at it, please pray for ALL of our marriages!! During these last days on Earth, life is going to become extremely difficult whether it be in our marriages, our families, our financial, or our economy, just everything is going to start feeling as though there is strain one way or another. That is the evil of Satan, and he wants to get some kinda wedge between you and me and everyone else that we have in contact with. And if we allow him to succeed, the wedge goes deeper, and the strain gets wider.

Seek HIS face, and call on HIS name!!

"Be still and know that I am God" ~ Psalm 46:10

Have an awesome week in the Lord!!

Holiday Retreat

Hey all... I am writing from my hotel room at the Marriott Waikiki. My Stampin' Up! Upline, Cindy Baughman plans a Holiday Retreat annually, and this year I've decided to attend with my girlfriend Barb. We are going to be here for one more day, just a little of tomorrow morning. Tonight, our project was a Calendar album. It took us 3 hours to complete, with a coffee and bathroom break. Barb and I ate at Sansei's, a sushi restaurant, which we spent 2 hours eating there. LOL!!! I am soooooo full, and my tummy was bubbling, I think because I ate so much food.

It is a little past midnight, and need to be getting up tomorrow at 6 am, to attend our next session which is at 7:30 am. I can't sleep just yet, so I figure I post an update, and I'm using my iPad, so unfortunately, I am unable to post pics. But I promise to do so when I get home tomorrow. Anywyas, since I am wide awake, I'm going to end my evening by coloring some images. thanks for peeking... Until next time...

Toodaloo!!!

Hugs,
Jen

A Tiddly Inks Creation... and Badges Created For Me by Christy Croll!!!

Good Morning, Thursday!! I am trying to continue to post, create for the craft fairs, and do everything else that I need to do, without neglecting the care of my home and family. It is indeed a hard task to manage. But this is my little get away, and sharing my projects with my friends is part of my schedule. Facebook is distracting too! LOL... I don't have all day to spend on there, but sometimes it seems like I'm on there all day. Whack my hand!!

Anyways, somethings to SHOUT on HIGH about... my girlfriend, Christy (you know, the artist of Tiddly Inks)... she was so sweet to create me these badges for me (and I didn't even had to beg)... aren't they adorable?? Now I can have them on my sidebar to share with the world. Thanks Christy!!

I also created a Tiddly Inks card. I used this house to make a card for my girlfriend Michelle, who recently purchased a home. Well, it's been several months since she bought the house, so I'm kinda late on giving her a house warming card n' gift. But better late than never, huh?

Well, when I finished making this card, I realized that the house looked a little scary, like with cobwebs, but still I thought it could pass for a sweet darling house. Anyways, I won't go crazy about it. Just love it's versatile ways that I can use it. LOL!! The sentiment I created on my computer, and printed it out. I was going to send it to her without a sentiment, but thought that the "Home Sweet Home" saying would be appropriate for this card.

Image: Tiddly Inks, Sentiment: Computer Generated
Spellbinder (on sentiment), Dew Drops, CB Folder
DSP: Die Cuts with a View

Well, I'm off to start my day. I hope you have a grand day as well. I'm going to attend my girlfriend's hubby's "Change of Charge" ceremony today. Yay! It's my 1st. It'll be interesting. Doh! I bettah work on a card for that...

Toodles!!
Hugs,
Jen
