I miss you! It's been awhile.... I'll be creating and writing real soon. I have been walking in the mornings {{today was my 4th day}}, so I'm trying to get my schedule in sync with everything else going on. I hope by Monday, I will have some projects to post. See ya then!
Well, things are ok, I am here at my son's school, about to serve lunch. Been trying to get back into the swing of creating. I packed all of my Little C's stamp products, and put them away in a box. I then occupied the drawers which the stamps were in with my own craft products. Slowly, I am getting my craft area reorganized. I want to start working on projects, but don't have table space to do it at the time. Last week, my boys, hubby and I were all stricken with Food Poisoning. Grrrr!! It wasn't a good week for the Young's household. But through prayers, and God's healing hands, we were back to normal within days. It was tough, but we still carried on. I was more sad for my boys, having to see them go through all that vomiting.
With all that going on with Us Youngs, there was something fun for me to look forward to on Saturday. It was my monthly Craftin' Fun Day with the Glama Gurlz, and I've opened it up to the public for other Craftin' Sisters to join the fun. I will have pictures of that day later, and then the adorable project kit we created.
As of right now, I've gotta get back to getting my craft area clean, because I can't seem to get the creativity grove on, when I see piles of "stuff" all over the place. I will have to finish it quickly, because I have to finish up some stuffs for this weekend.
So see ya all real soon!! Hugs, Jen
Stuffs About Today:
Fixing my dining room area from Little C's store, to Jen's "Craft Area".
Going to dinner tonight, to hang out and fellowship with my brother and sisters, since my sister Nasha is in town.
Can You Believe that my COUGH is still here, not entirely here, but not entirely GONE either. I'm SO over it!!!!
Hey Gang... just popping in to say "hi". I've been cleaning and organizing my house. Trying to get things in order, while still trying to fight this cold/flu/sinus infection that I have going on with my body. My youngest, Cy, got food poisoning the other day, I am suspecting that it was because of the Spam Musubi he ate from Sam's Club the other day. All night Sunday to Monday, he was vomiting and I stayed up all night that night helping him get it into the bucket. **sigh**. I am caught up with my sleep, and I started re-organizing my bathroom closet. This is taking up so much of my time, and I am missing my creativity table. But that needs organizing too. Anyways, my sister Nash is here visiting from Cali, so I have got to spend some time with her as well.
Thanks for reading! I promise to be back real soon!
Hi there everyone - Ali here :) Hope you are all having a blessed Aloha Friday! Sorry but I am a day late on this posting, it was actually for Thursday's theme (Featured Cricut Cartridge) - Ooops!
Today I have for your viewing pleasure a card I made for my sister's birthday which was yesterday. I used the Cricut Solutions Cartridge called Home Decor. It's a very fun and whimsical cartridge and I can't wait to make more of these yummy cupcakes!
I cut the shadow and the layers at 3", embossed the frosting and added Stickles around the edges.
There are so many fun images on this cartridge from birds to flowers and frames. So if you have this cartridge, create something and share it with us. We'd love to see what you make! Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed weekend!!
Aloha Everyone!! How was your long weekend?! Well, my Grand Niece, Kyrie will be making an entrance into this world in the next couple of months, so I wanted to get a scrapbook started for my Niece so that she could save her DD's 1st year in a nice album. I'm usually a Digi-Scrapper, but I've got so much paper to use, I thought I'd give it a try and start using these papers and putting them to good use. This is the 1st page I've come up with. Love the colors, and how it turned out. Most of the paper and cardstock that I used are from Stampin' Up! I am not sure if they are retired or not. It has been in my stack of papers for quite some time now.
The "Welcome Baby Girl" sentiment cut on my Cricut. It's a Martha Stewart cartridge. I made the sun with shapes from the George cut. I have the cut file available, if you are interested. Scroll down below for the link to download the DS or GYPSY cut file. It encloses the sun the I cut for this page layout.
Hey all!!! A reader of mines requested a Milk Carton cut be made in the DS/Gypsy cut format. I worked on it last week, and have finally completed it. I also have the SVG format available, if you have the SCAL or any other machine that can cut SVG files, you will be able to use it as well.
Now, in the video, the milk carton that I cut turns out not to be the same as shown in the still photos. The reason being is that when I cut the milk carton in the video, I was shooting the video at night, and I thought the image on my DSP were apples. But when I saw it in the morning, I realized that they were pumpkins! ACK!! Therefore, I had to change the DSP and cut one that was more appropriate for this gift, which is a gift going to Cy's 1st grade teacher.
The image that I've used is from Tiddly Inks... yes, I have been using a lot of her images lately, because I think her style is just the cutest!! Christy is also looking for more DT's to be on her team. So, in order to even "try" to be on her team, she wants you to join the challenges she has going on for this month, starting with challenge #19 - Say G'Bye To Summer. When I see teachers, I know that I can kiss Summer "g'bye", so choose this sweet teacher image, and created it for my son's teacher!
I have been working on the video for this tutorial for a couple of days now. I don't know what was going on with the app I had on my Mac, or if it was the You Tube uploader. It just wasn't happening. So by the time I got this online, oh gosh, I was already pushing the deadline. All in all, I still had a great time putting the video together, and I hope you will enjoy watching it as much as I did creating it. Here it is....
Thanks for watching, have an awesome week, be a blessing to someone by smiling and letting them know that you are there for them....
Last Year, my girlfriend, Michelle of Mushi's Creative Inspirations n' I were asked by Cheryl of Life is Sweet, who is also the Sizzix rep here in Hawaii, to come and be on the "Joy of Crafting" local craft show. The show's host, Joy, was looking for local bloggers, who weren't shy about being on camera. Because Michelle n' I were both at home during the time of the shooting, our schedules were able to accommodate the day of the shooting, and everything worked out GREAT!!! I've posted pictures last year, and promised to post the video. Well, I finally got around to it, and permission was granted by Joy for us to post this, so here it is. Thanks for peeking....
Michelle n' I had a great time that day, and our friendship has blossomed since. Joy has asked us to come back again, and we surely agreed that when she does need us to return, we will be there!!!
Be sure to scroll down to view pics of my hubby n' I celebrating our 16th year anniversary!!
Sorry, I've been BZ!!! I have so much to share and so much to do. Yesterday, my hubby n' I celebrated 16 years of marital bliss!! Without the Lord's Guidance, Strength and Love, we wouldn't have made it this far!! I look forward in many more years together with my man!! He is truly a blessing for me and my children.
Well, last night, he took me out to dinner. Somewhere I've never been before, it was a surprise! He told me that I had to wear a dress...ugh... I don't like wearing dresses, because they show my 3rd layer. Oh well... just gotta show what love I have on my body and how squishable I am in real life, right? When he came home, he brought home 2 dozen of these double colored roses, from Watanabe Florist.
We then headed to dinner, which I later found out that dinner was at La Mer of Halekulani. He was right, I have never been here before, I have never eaten food like they have here. So I was very interested, and ready to capture all the elements around me and let my spirit suck it all in.
Anyways, it was a fun evening out with my hubby, and we're looking forward in celebrating more during this weekend. I have to share with you the card I made with him in another post. So stay tuned!!
