Little C's Create a Card Challenge: Laughter in a Room

Good Morning!! It is time for another Little C's Challenge!! We're having so much fun with the pictures selected to entice our creativity palette. Here is this week's challenge picture...

Here is my creation. I decided to go with the color combo and to add a little "Laughter" on it, because of that "Laugh" enclosed in the shelf. Oh my - you should see the other Diva's cards - they came up with pretty neat ones too!!

For my card, I used a Fred, She Said digi image. I colored her with my copics. I used buttons to embellish - I just love them buttons, but I know I need to use more of other things. I also added a cute lil' butterfly charm that I thought would go great with this darlin' image, because of her wings. I did forget to add some sparkles tho' - that would've been a nice touch. The sentiment is a Digi Freebie, which I found here. I used a QK's Oval to cut, then cut around it with my Decorative Scissors {{mini scallops}}. The frame around the image is a cut from my Cricut, using A Child's Year cart. That cart I found has a bunch of frames that could be used as layers and frames. I definitely believe that cart was one well spent on.

This week, my boys are off to Vacation Bible Study. It is a fun filled week where a bunch of kids have lots of fun playing sports, games and fellowship with one another, all while learning about the Love of God. When they came home yesterday, they were so pooped, that they took their baths, and went to take a nap. CY4 slept for 4 hours, while Cy slept through the entire night!! What a great time they had, and for me, I went shopping for snacks n' house stuff @ WalMart with my Sis, Cat. She n' I had a great time - although we went to get just a pack of Pull Ups for her lil' one, we ended up with a FULL cart! LOL... that surely wasn't my intention!!

Well, looks like we're going to have a fun and busy week, and I hope you are having a great time as well!! Time to go!!

Scrappin' Saturday Challenge @ Little C's Challenge Blog

Good Morning!! Today marks the 1st day of our Scrappin' Saturday Challenges over at the Little C's Challenge blog. If you are like us, we've got all the tools to create a scrapbook project {{or 2 }}, but just no motivation to do it {{most times}}!! So, we've designated a day to create some Scrappin' Projects, and will feature them on Saturdays. We'll challenge you to join us - there is a Layout Page to follow, but this is optional. There is also a "Theme" to follow, and if you'd like to be qualified for the prize at the end of the challenge, then you must adhere to the Theme. Mini Milk Cartons & Carrier - DS & GYPSY Cut Files

Gail, a blog reader mines sent me an adorable Mini Milk Carton with an adorable holder that came with it. Then I saw that Claudie had a couple of them on her blog here and here, and wanted to copy-cat it, but create it on the Cricut. So after some fun calculations, I was able to use the George cart to make these cute n' simple milk cartons & carrier. I made this one for my girlfriend, Susan. Remember the one that is going to run a marathon for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation in Seattle's Rock n' Roll Run? I wrote about her about 3 months ago or so... anyways, she is finally going to go, she was able to reach her goal of $4,600 and MORE!!! Such a blessing!! See how prayer works?!?!?! Awesome, isn't it?!?! Well, this was my little gift to her to wish her well... I filled the milk cartons with Chocolate Candies - for ENERGY!!! She supposed to use it after her run. She already mentioned to me that she tried some of them out, and they were so yummy for her tummy!! =0} You Go Girl!!

I wanna make more of these adorable milk cartons, the Cricut makes it so easy to just cut, and then with the scores already in place, I can just score. To hold the carton tops close, I punch 2 holes, and ran ribbon through them. The sentiment that I used is a stamp that was given to me by my girlfriend, Colleen. It says, "Rejoice In The Lord"... Thanks girl!!

This Mini Milk Carton set can be purchased already cut n' ready to fill for those that would like this set and just don't have the time to make it.

I then wrapped in cellophane to present my gift to her.
