I Digi-Scrapped!!

Hey Peoples....

It's been awhile since I've gotten on my computer and did some digi-scrappin'. But this weekend, Rina n' I took some pictures during our Glama Gurlz gathering, and I thought it would make a perfect digi-page. WOW... I have known Rina since I was 19 years old... 2 years from now, we'll have known each other for 20 years!! We've been through sooo many things together, and we've learned a lot from each other.... I'm so blessed to have her not only as a friend, a stamping sister, but especially now, as a dear Sister In Christ!!! Anyways, here is a simple collage I put together of the pics we took together being silly in my kitchen this past weekend.... Thanks for the memories, Rina.... and always looking forward in making more memories together!!

Luv U Lots...

SSH Challenge #4: Buttons, Buttons, and MORE Buttons...

Good Morning and Happy Aloha Friday!!! It is challenge week over at Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii. We have a challenge to use your buttons!!! All you gotta do is create and use buttons as the main embellishment on your creation. You have until Wednesday, September 3rd, at 6 pm HST to play n' have a chance at winning a bunch of goodies.

Here was my take on the challenge.....

The image & sentiment that I used are both from Two Scoops Rice Designs. I love buttons. Whatever color it is, it always adds a nice additional touch to the project being created. So easily to use, and pretty cheap too. You can even find it at a thrift store, for a good price. My cousin sent me a bag of buttons once, that she picked up at a thrift store - it was like 2 pounds for only $1!!! WOW!!!! I love how they come in all sorts of colors, and you can always mix n' match.

I colored the image a while ago, using my Copic Sketch markers, and the sentiment I used Regal Red from SU! to ink it up. I also added some dew drops because I seen how Jodie used the dew drops n' buttons together once, and they looked so awesome together.

I have been in a slump lately. Just sometimes, I get into these moods where I just don't want to create anything. Do you get this way sometimes? I notice that it always comes after a big function (Teri's Social was 2 weeks ago). I get all "pooped" out, and then I re-focus on organizing my home again, and then don't have time to create. LOL... it's a cycle that goes on n' on. But challenges always gets me on my toes again, and hopefully the next gathering gets me out of the rut too (which is this Sunday, so I better snap out of it!!!).

Thank God for awesome friends that nudge me, and motivate me to create and Thank God for all of you that continually post your creations inspire my art world.

Have an awesome weekend. I'm looking forward in seeing the Glama Gurlz this weekend. We're having a party to welcome the newbies....

Aloha,

Christmas Challenge #31

Hello Sistahs!!! I was finally able to catch up with creating my Christmas challenge this week. This week's challenge was to think outside of the box, and create a project other than an A2 card size. I kinda went 1 step further, and created a lil' Christmas basket. It's totally NOT an A2 card size, so it still qualifies right?!

Anyways, I used the "Christmas Cheer" cartridge for this project. I also used George for some of the other pieces. Everything was done on my Design Studio. I will have this cut posted to my Circut blog later. I made a cupcake one just like this - and I will share that will you all later. I really like how easy and cute it turned out to be.

I also used some dew drops to add a lil' of an ornament feature going on... the presents and star cuts are also from "Christmas Cheer".

Thanks for popping in... time to get gonig!!

Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii's Featured Aloha Blogger

Aloha!! I hope you all had a great weekend.... This weekend at church there was a "How To Walk" conference going on, and this was the 1st time ever for us to attend. What an experience of exciting and adrenaline high that we've reached. My DH served the Lord by helping in the Cafe, and around the church campus. I baked and baked, and brought the goods up to the church for people to snack on. The place was packed. Parking was over filled, we had to park off campus near the neighboring homes. Everyone there was surrounded by the Lord's Holy Spirit - you could feel His energy!!! WOWZah!!

This weekend, over at Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii, it was time to feature an Aloha Blogger of the week. This week, we featured Enjoli, of Stamping Under The Sun. Enjoli is a sweet talented sister of the islands. She is always willing to share and give what she's created. She makes such beautiful creations as well!! So the challenge for the SSH Sisters were to lift a project off of Enjoli, and gosh - all the projects that they came up with were AWESOME!!!! Go check it out!!!

The project I chose to lift off of Enjoli, was this coffee bag which she also does a tutorial on. Enjoli actually sent me a cut file of this project for my Cricut Machine awhile back. However, I needed to tweek it a little, so that I could enlarge the bottom flaps, and add score lines. I will have the cut file available on my Cricut Cuts Blog in the near future (I have to upload the file and do other things before posting it, so that's going to take a little more time to do).

The bag actually calls for a twist tie to use for closure, but I couldn't find any around my house. So instead, I just used a clip from Making Memories, and I think it worked quite well. =0)

I used some acetate for the window, and added some chocolate candies to the inside of the box. The image is from Himawari Babies. Flowers are of All Natural Accents which you can find at Little C's.

I had so much fun creating this project. I'm thinking about creating it for the Glama Gurlz gathering this weekend. Hmmmm.... I just love creating with my Cricut machine. So easy to use, and just a click of a button, ya know!?!? I also have a ton of Himawari Babies to use, so this way I'll give my gurlz the option of what image they'd like to use on their goody bag. I better go looking for some cool clips then. Oh goody!!! Can't wait now....

Ok, gotta get going. Got some house chores I gotta get started on..... last night, while everyone was sleeping - I cleaned the bathroom. LOL!! It sure was nice n' quiet during that time. But I think I need coffee now...LOL....

My Christmas project is LATE!!! Sorry Maria, I hope to have it up n' completed in the next couple of hours.

Toodaloo!!!

Digital Delights - NEW Release!!!

Good Morning Thursday!! It's Release time over at Digital Delights!!! Wendy drew up a farm scene for the NEW release she has this time around. I had fun creating with some of the images she had. There are MORE - so be sure to check it out here, and see for yourself what else there is. =0) But here's what I came up with on my creations.... remember those cards I let you peek at the other day?! Well here they are in whole..... I was trying out my new Copics Air Brush system with these cards. I need more practice. Gotta be able to keep my hands steady, as well as the finger that holds the trigger. So, if you see more of these air brush type creations, please excuse me as I try n' learn how to use it. The images I've used on the first card is the farm background scene, Sitting Maggie, and Sugar the Sheep. I used PSE to layer them on top of each other so that they'd print all in 1 image. Saved me time on cutting and layering.

On my second card, I used the Farm Background scene again, Petunia the Pig twice. 1 I made larger, and 1 I made facing the other way - it's a perfect welcome home card for a new baby. I think I'd have to give this to someone that owns a pig, or actually understands the world of stamping, because I wouldn't want to offend anyone, making them think that their baby is a pig? That would NOT be good. =0) Anyways, you can really tell my amateur air brushing technique on this 2nd card. Booo Hoooo... The sentiment is from TAC, and I thought it was perfect for this card. Doesn't it really look farmish with the colors n' all. But then again, I am not entirely thrilled about the air brushing. I will continue to work on that, and tighten my skillz. LOL....

Ok, on to my last card, this one I extended the fence of the background scene. I did that simply by copying a section of the fence, and then just continuing it on to the fence that was already there. It's possible with stamping, but on the computer it's so much quicker, AND you are able to view what you are doing PRIOR to printing. So if it doesn't look right to you, you can just redo your work, and try again. I really love this last card I worked on. It's my favorite out of the 3, probably because I didn't use any airbrushing on it. I got kinda lazy on the Copic coloring though - doesn't look like I blended his overalls good enough. Maybe I'll fix it later (maybe).

Well, if you want to check out the rest of the set that is being released today - you must head on over here, because you will be delighted in what you find!!

Also, just wanted to shmall kine apologize for the MIA lately - I have been quite busy trying to get products online at Little C's, which I am working on getting the Maganolia's back online as well as the 12x12 Design Sheet Papers. I am also continuing with my baking marathon for our church's event coming up this weekend. I will post a flyer later, incase any of you local sisters might want to attend. Today, I am baking cookies!!! Oh, and CY3 LOVED the energy bars I baked the other day, so looks like I'm going to make a batch of those for our household too!!! I gotta head out to WalMart later too... so toodaloo!!!! Have a blessed day in Jesus!!!!
