My Cricut Version of Sizzix Box #2

Hey There... sorry my posting is late today. I stepped out this morning to run errands.... I'm sooo excited to share this with you. Remember I shared the RAK that I received from Wini this past Easter? (Here is a pic of Wini's box - on the left). She created using the Sizzix Box #2 die cut, sold exclusively by Stampin' Up!. Well, I asked Wini if I could take one of the boxes apart (she gave me 2), I wanted to design one of my own with Cricut's Design Studio program. Thankfully, Wini said, "of course!!!". So, off to work I went. I had such a great time creating this box, and I think that's what it is - the challenge of creating it is fun, and seeing the end results is an even better satisfaction. The only difference between the cut that Sizzix designed, and my design is the bottom of the box. I made my bottom with a flap, and it actually turned out pretty good. (See photo below of bottom of my box). =0) You might be thinking, what's the big deal, Jen? I could make the same box by hand.... true, true,... but once you already have the measurements and cut figured out and saved - all I need to do is select the cut file, insert the Cricut mat, hit cut... and it's cutting my piece. And anytime I want to cut it, I have it at hand. =0) I've created 1 design using George, and 1 design using Plantin, therefore ALL Cricut users should be able to use this cut file. If you have the baby Cricut, just change the mat to 6x12, and you should be good to go!!!

Here is how my box turned out.... hope you like it - and if you want to download the file, just scroll to the bottom of this posting...

This photo here shows you how my bottom differs from the Sizzix designed cut.

This photo, I show how I created the box to look just like the Sizzix cut that Wini put together for Easter.
Here's is a front shot of it.

Here is the 1st project I created using this cut. Can you tell that I was excited about it?!?!?! I had to use it right away!!! I used it for favors for my friend, Tiffany - whose getting married in May!!! We had a lil' luncheon this past Saturday, together with my Title Guaranty friends. We ate at Yakiniku Camellia in McCully. It's where you gather your raw meats n' veggies, and cook it at your own table, yourself. Tiff didn't want to cook, but I happily volunteered to cook for her - after all, she is the one getting married, right?!?! There were 3 of us on our table (the other had 2), I cook for all 3 of us - which I didn't mind. =0) I figure, since I am not allowed to cook on DH's BBQ grill, it would be my only chance to grill then. LOL!!!! What fun we had!!! I love getting together with my TG friends... we always say we'll get together monthly, and then we end up not getting together for like 4-6 months.

Anyways, I filled the little box with travel size things... chap stick, deodorant, lotion, hand sanitizer and some Hershey's hugs. They fit perfectly.

I decorated the box with black n' white Prisma flowers, and added a pearl for the middle of each flower (Hero Arts). The scallop frame around the oval handle was created using the Mini Monogram Cricut Cartridge. I embossed the bride n' groom using a mini CB folder, I printed the sentiment using my computer, and layered on black, then cut the edges using my scallop scissors.

I finished it off by wrapping each one elegantly, in clear cellophane wrapping and tying it with black organdy ribbon.

This was a FUN project!!!! =0)

Below is an image shot of the cut on the DS program. If you would like this cut file, click here.

I created 2 cut files for this cut, one made in George, the other in Plantin.

Requirements: Cricut Machine, DS Program, George -or- Plantin cartridges.

Enjoy!!

Love Owls.... A Nancy Kubo Design

Happy Aloha Wednesday Lovies....

Real quick post - I have Evie, a Glama Gurl coming over in about 20 mins, I'm going to have a 1-on-1 session with her, on how to create with the Cricut. So, gotta keep this short. So yesterday, I put out a challenge - to used your Two Scoops Rice Designs images. I didn't get any players, so I'm going to extend it for a week. =0) And, no need to create as much as you can, just create 1 creation and post your link here - because I found it hard myself to create more than 1 project. LOL.... oh but, I was able to create 2 more TSRD cards, just didn't have the time to upload. So I figure I wait til' the next Tuesday's TSRD day, and I'll post it then. =0)

So here is my creation for today. I created it using these Lil' Owl Graphics from Nancy Kubo, which I purchased from Little Dreamer Designs. Oh boy... Nancy has some NEW images up, so I'm going to go shopping!!! LOL... loving them all, Nancy!! Keep them coming girl!!! The images on here were actually placed together... as the image of the owl on the branch was 1 image, then I added the brown owl. Such a sweet loving card for an anniversary or wedding. This particular image pack is on sale, right now!!! For only $2.45. You can use your word program to retrieve these images, you don't need to have Photo Shop or any other program out there that you think you might need. All card stock and paper were in my scrap bin... so I'm slowly trying to use them up before using new paper that I keep buying..... what's new?!?!

Ok, I've got this "1 laundry load - or more" goal going here, so I have to get on the ball, and end this post. =0) Evie is going to be here soon!!! Yippee!!!!

Have a blessed Wednesday... it's a beautiful day in Hawaii... the sun is shining nice n' bright. Oh, and I quit drinking coffee.... haven't quite kicked Pepsi yet...

Aloha,
Jen

Tuesday Two Scoops Rice Designs Day!!

Hahhaa... what's going on, Jen?!?! Well, I have declared - here on my own blog, that every Tuesdays, I will post creations made with Two Scoops Rice Designs images. I have been looking around for challenges, and I already have the Christmas one on Monday's, so I'm going to host this TSRD one on Tuesdays!!! So, all day, I will create with TSRD images... and if you wanna play along, just link your creation to this post, and I will also post it to my blog. =0) I only have this creation so far, however, if I have some time today - I will create some more of these TSRD creations.

This is a shaker card. What's with the fascination of shaker cards as of lately, huh?! I've seen a spurt of of popping up everywhere on all the Aloha Bloggers. I was trying to resist the temptation of creating one - but alas!! It smacked me right in the head. LOL.... I've made one using Maria's method - a CD/DVD envelope. It's so easy - the window is already made for you. So you just decorate, fill n' create the rest of your card. I'm going to try one with my Cricut. I think the Tags, Bags, Boxes n' More cartridge has a "shaker box" on there... so maybe that'll be what I work on next. But if I want to create anything else, I better hurry - I only have a few more hours as Cy gets outtah school today - and I'm heading down to J's Knicknacks to ck out his HUGE 30% storewide sale. Hopefully I'll run into Wini there... hee hee... it's always a surprise when we tell each other we "might" be there, and then see each other there after all. Kinda like it's planned, but not planned?! LOL!!! Well, I don't need anything else to add to my collection of things, but you watch, when I get there... it'll be a whole different story!!!

Ok, gotta go, because I wanna create a few more TSRD stuffs before I leave... hope you play along with me... it'll be fun - maybe I'll throw in a lil' prize for those that play....

Oh!!! the image I've used on this project is called "Balancing Act".

Hugs,
Jen

Christmas Challenge Week #14

Good Morning Monday all...

Are you ready for another week?! I'm kinda excited about it. Nothing really going on, but I feel so energized to do, do, do... I want to create... so I pray that I can keep this momentum going - whatever it is. LOL....

First off, thank you all for your sweet comments regarding my Saturday's full day with the family. I forgot to mention that on Friday, I had a great time with Wini and Irene. I will be sharing the projects we create shortly. =0) But yesterday, Sunday was another fun-fill full day. We first headed to church for the morning service, and after service, we met with the school's principal, for an interview, as we are hoping to get Cy into their school for Kindergarten. It looks hopeful, just gotta leave it up to the Lord, as he's got it already all planned out for us. Whether it be an answer we are looking for or not, it's all in his plans, ya know?! During the interview, CY4 took Cy to the playground. He's such a loving big brother. We Thank God daily for a responsible, loving child that CY4 is.... He kept a watchful eye on his brother for 1-1/2 hour, during that entire time we were in the interview. We could see them as well, because the room we were in was right next to the playground. But they had no idea that we were in where we were. Cy behaved well with CY4, and happily, there were no screaming n' shouting during that time. LOL... can you imagine? That would've been a twist in our interview, huh?! After our interview, we dashed back home, I got Cy ready to go to my mom's - and CY3 got ready for a round of golfing. CY4 was staying home to finish up his homework. I was heading out to meet my friends for lunch, the TG gang that I used to work with. My DH dropped Cy off for me, and I went off to my event. It was our lunch out together, although we usually go out every other month or so, it was a special outing, as we were celebrating the soon to be marriage of my girlfriend, Tiffany. But, I'll tell you more about my luncheon on another post.... I had a great time, but after the lunch, I also had a horrible headache. Ack!!! I just wanted to go home and take a nap (haaha.... twice in 1 weekend - wee hoo!!!), well, first I was to get Cy from my mom's. I stayed a few minutes while there, just so it wouldn't seem like I was coming n' going. Talked stories, until I realized that my eyelids were closing. I knew it was time to head home, then. When we got home, my head was pounding like a bass drum going in a triplet tempo during a marching band performance.. and it was NOT stopping. Advil to the rescue!!! I also quickly jumped into my bed, and told Cy, "mama is not feeling well", he then puts his hand to my forehead, and says, "ya mama, you are hot", and then he proceeds to cover me up with the blankets. It was so sweet of him **sigh**... so sweet, that it made me quickly fall asleep. LOL!!!! I was up within 45 minutes, feeling fresh n' new, and no headache. Yay!! The rest of the day quickly turned into night. I was too lazy to cook dinner - and it would be too late to start the crock pot by then... LOL. So, before my DH headed home, I asked him, "Next Stop - Zippy's?!"..... and he pulled through. Not only that, he came home with a Chocolate Milk Shake for me n' CY4 - AND I didn't even have to ASK!!! What a sweetie!!! I had spaghetti plate (they have a special going on right now, for only $4.99 Spaghetti Plate with Garlic Bread - so don't miss out!!!)....

After putting all the uneaten food away, closing up the house - setting the alarm, and putting the kids to sleep, including my DH - I finally get a chance to create!!! But then I remembered, I have to put up my Christmas Challenge Week #14 creation. So here it is!!!! Above is the sketch that we were to follow... I think I did a pretty good job, but the silver stitches, I actually wanted to be in white. I just couldn't find the white ink marker that Michelle gave me, and I was kicking myself in the butt because of that. Oh well, I had to settle for silver. I worked on this card Saturday night - and to help get me in the mood for Christmas stamping, I made me a hot chocolate, with whip cream and a dash of chocolate powder on the top of the whip cream. Yummm-O!!! No mind the messy craft table, it's just how I love it to be!!! The image I used is from Nancy Kubo, buckle is of We R Memory Makers, and I thought that it was perfect, as it protrayed the belt buckle of Santa's belt - and since I've used Santa as the image in the middle... it went perfectly together. DS is DCWV, and scallop cuts are Nesties. Be sure to stop on by the Christmas blog to check out everyone's creations... they all did a spectacular job!!!

Aloha n' No Stress, Be Blessed....

Toodaloo!!!!

Simple Pouch For a Snack

Good Morning on this Blessed Sunday People!!! The weather yesterday in Hawaii was sooo pretty!!! My DH was off from work, so it was such a blessing to have him home, we went gallivanting... in the morning he went to the men's prayer @ church (I'm so proud of him, it tickles me inside!!!), and then CY4 n' I went to this "Disciples in Training" course. It's a 12 week course, just to introduce us to the Bible, and help us understand it more in depth. Of course, I could easily read it - but if I'm not getting the message, it's useless to me. So this class is to help us both. =0) Thereafter, the church had a garage sale going on.... we found soooo much finds!! I picked up a Crock Pot for only $3!!! $3!!! LOL.... I've had a slow cooker recipe book for like 4 years now, I can FINALLY put it to WORK, sisters!!!! Yay, Me!!!! So what should I make first?! LOL... Cy found this horse thingy, you know the ones that just have the horse's head on the broom stick? I've never had that kinda toy - but he was all into it, and that was only $2... I also picked up an Ethernet wire for just $1 - yay me, again!! LOL.... We then headed to town, my DH and CY4 went to a golf store, while Cy and I headed to a craft fair going on, where I knew Dawne & Nicky, 2 of my fellow aloha blogging sistahs were selling their stuffs. Cy was estatic to see his Aunty Dawne. I don't know what it is about her - he just melts when he sees her. LOL!!!

We then went to this Saimin shop that I took CY4 to last week. I've been telling my DH about it for the longest time - years, and years... and today was the day that he finally decided on going. LOL... after lunch, we headed home, and we all took a nice relaxing nap... ahhhhh. Next thing I knew, it was 5:30 pm... where'd the day go?! Well, I wanted to go over and see my mom n' dad, so that's where we ended up going for dinner. Told the kids and my DH, "let's hele" (hele = go)... and off we went. Picked up KFC (did you know they came out with "grilled chicken" now!?), and then to my mom thems. It was an awesome day with the family!!! What a blessing.... no crafting was done, but still, what a true blessing to just hang with each other, and have each others company....

Nope, no crafting today, HOWEVER, I do have this project to share with all of you. It's another project that I've had the Glama Gurlz create last week Sunday. It's a cute little pouch, that was cut with my Cricut, using the Tags, Bags Boxes n' More cartridge. I then ran it through the CB machine, using "Floral Fantasy". Such a pretty design, huh?! I took a strip of black CS, and then a strip of washi paper - and adhered it to the pouch. The Japanese doll image is a Hero Arts stamp. Love this set!!!! Sooo cute. They also just came out with a set of Chinese dolls, ok - so,you know I gotta get those too!!! LOL... I'm 0% Japanese, and 25% Chinese, so I can't get the Japanese ones - and not get the Chinese ones, when I am part Chinese, right? LOL... justifying again, just justifying.... gotta have reasons, so I know I'm purchasing for the right reasons... LOL!!! Anyways, I stamped the doll 3 times - once on washi paper, twice on white card stock. The washi paper, I cut the doll's kimono off, and then adhere to the image stamped on the white card stock. The other image stamped on the other white card stock, I cut the doll's head, and adhered it with foam tape, giving it a lift. The flower bling is from All Natural Accents. Tooo cute!!! I then filled the pouch with a lil' package of Enjoy Snacks. =0)

Well, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.... tomorrow is Christmas Challenge week #14!!! Looking forward to working on that one.

Aloha,
Jen

Two Scoops Rice Designs: You Are Berry Sweet

Happy Aloha Friday, my fellow stamping friends!!! Here is another Two Scoops Rice Designs creation that I made recently. Actually, this was one of the projects I had the Glama Gurlz create at our session this past weekend. It was sooo much fun. But I will write more about that later.

Just wanted to post this card for all of you to see... This strawberry is sooo cute!!! I told you she makes these fruits n' other foods with cute faces on them, right?! Have you gone and seen for yourself yet?! This strawberry can be found in the food set called "Fruit Set". This set comes with 3 sentiments, and 6 fruits - including the all time Hawaii favorite fruit - the pineapple!!! It's an adorable one too!!! I will have to play with that pineapple next. LOL!!! There is this one set that I've got my eyes on tho' - it's gonna be next on my list! It's this one:

This set is called "Cupcake & Ice Cream Cuties Set". Can you see all the googlie eyes that can go on these?!?! These cute lil' heads on the top of these cupcakes so darling.... not only do I want to eat them, I want to kiss them too!!! LOL!!!

Ok, sorry for going off track, I just HAD TO share that set with you. Back to my card and what I used to create it... For the cardstock, I embossed with CB's Argyle - and to get the white ink on the negative part of the cardstock, I ink'd the CB folder (on one side), with while ink. At first, you couldn't really tell it was ink'd. But when it dried, it showed faintly - but I love the look!!! You should try it!!! I've added the googly eyes again to the strawberries eyes, and added crystal glaze for her cute pink cheeks. I don't have a close up shot of the glaze, but you get the idea.

Ok, gotta go!!! I hope you have a beautiful Aloha Friday and an awesome weekend!!! Today I'm spending the day with Wini and Irene!!! Woooo Hooooo!!! We're going to be Cricuteering today - How FUN!!!!! Looking forward to my day with the both of them.

See ya all tomorrow....

Big Hugs,
Jen

More RAKs....

Here are a couple of more Birthday RAKs I received.

These are all from my fellow Glama Gurlz....

From Evie, a cute lil' TIc TaC holder that she created, free hand!! How cute is this?! No sweeter way to tell those that you need some breath freshener, huh?! I love it!! =0) My favorite mint flavor too - Spearmint!! You can se I've already busted open the top. These Tic Tac's are perfect for me too, because did you know that I can't chew gum?!! Not that I don't know how to chew gum, but it makes me GAG!!! Yes... my gag reflex doesn't want to stop when it happens. So I stay away from gum.... and it's ALL types too, not just the mint ones.

This next RAK is from Myra... Myra's blog is at 808Kreations. Myra makes the cutest things. She is the "Queen Shaker Box Maker" that I know. Everything that she gives me has a lil' cute shaker box creation on it, and when she makes them - they are ohhhh sooooo cute!!!! Sa-Weeet!!!!

I think the stamp that she used on here is a CC Designs stamp - but not sure... could also be a TAC stamp.

The last RAK is from Jodie, and her blog can be found at Hawaiian Angels. Isn't this a super duper cute creation of Jodie's? Her Magnolia holding the muffin is too darn cute!!! I love the colors she's used on this card too... I just love all the pink and greens together. She made this card for my birthday - I was tickled to find out that it was made for ME!!!!

Myra and Jodie last updated their blogs 5 weeks ago, and Evie doesn't have a blog of her own. I'm not scolding them, trying to tell you something here - so please read on. There are other Glama Gurlz out there that don't want to maintain a blog, but want to share their creations. Therefore, with that - please stay tune for a Glama Gurlz blog, coming your way soon!!! Wooo Hooo!!!! You'll get to see whose in the group, and see their work too!!! Can't wait to debut it with all of you!!!

Aloha,
Jen

Two Scoops Rice Design: Sleeping Baby Fairy

Hey There.... I have more RAK's to share - but I think I'm going to spread them out throughout the week. I wanted to share something that I created, because I know you all have been wondering, "What's Up, Jen?!".....

This project was actually a project that we did for our 1st Glama Gurlz gathering of this year. I used a Two Scoops Rice Design image. My friend and fellow local girl, Renae, is the owner and creator of this line of stamps. I'm soooo blessed to know her!! The designs that she has created are soooo cute, and hard to resist!!! Fortunately, I am on the DT of Two Scoops, so I will probably be creating a whole bunch of stuffs with the products I received and purchased from her. So be prepared!!! LOL...

Here's more on my project. I first stamped a #10 white envelope with sakura flowers - from Hero Arts. I then cut at 3", and the bottom half of the envelope, I ran through a paper crimper. Cut a scrap piece of paper to the width of the envelope, and cut with my Friskar's "Wave" scissors to have a scallop edge. The Circle Scallop die wus cut using my Nesties, and I colored my image with my Copics Sketch Markers. I used a blue bling, and added some stickles to the fairy's wings, antennas and his basket. Adhered the circle scallop to the top portion of the envelope, and all done!!! The top can easily come off, and you can add anything within the envie.... maybe perhaps hot chocolate... or any other packet of mix that you'd like to send to your friends. =0)

Now, there are so much more images that Two Scoops Rice Designs have, if you like cute things, this is the online store to check out. You will just adore all of her drawings. And because she is a local girl of Hawaii - those of you that love Hawaii cute stamps, like Musubis, Saimin, Spam Musubi, Asian Foods (ALL with cute adorable smiley faces, I might add!!!)... you are going to definitely love her stuffs!!!!

Hope you are all having a wonderful, blessed Thursday!!! Everyday that you wake up is a gift from God!!! What a blessing ain't it?!?!

Hugs,
Jen

Easter RAKs from Wini

Sooo cute.... Wini made these boxes for me and my boys. This crate box thingy was made with the Sizzix #2 box which is currently being sold in the SU! catalog, somewhere in the back of the catalog. You cut 2 of these, fold them up, and then stick them together, and create this cute adorable crate. But WAIT..... for those of you that own a Cricut Machine and the Design Studio program, (because you need the program and the USB cord for your Cricut to read your computer, and for your computer to send the info to your machine).... hold off from purchasing this cut - just yet. I'm actually working on creating this cut on my DS program, and will have the file done real soon. =0) Can't wait to share it with you Cricutettes!!!

Back to Wini's creation - she used the HK Easter Sizzix cut, which is so cute.... I bought one too - LOL, but didn't get a chance to use it this year. Oh well...

This is the other RAK Wini gave me. It's pretty neat to see that circle cut going right through the middle of the box. I love it so much, that I can only drool at those chocolate candies in there.
Again, she used another HK die cut from Sizzix.

a RAK from Kyoko

Got plenty of RAKs to share today... hope you don't mind all these postings....

This pretty Anya card was created by my friend and fellow Farringtonian Alumni, Kyoko - Go Govs!!! LOL... Kyoko, do you still remember the Alma Mater? =0) I love how she added them glittery glitz to the halo and wings of this Anya Angel. You can find more of Kyoko's beautifully created creations on her blog called "Cards n' Tag Mania". She sent me this card "Just Because". She also sent me some goodies to play with... can't wait to get my hands on them!!!

a RAK from Eunice

My girlfriend Eunice sent me this very pretty card for my birthday. See more of Eunice's creations on her blog called "A Star for Chiemi". Love how she put blue eye shadow on this girl. Reminds me of my dancing nights, years ago!! LOL... Eunice also sent me these ono delicious almond flaky crackers, from Shirokiya!!! There were about 12 pieces in there, I share 4 with my boys. But the rest, I ate. I have to go to Shirokiya and hunt these crackers down, because man, they were oh sooooo good!!!!

Sign Up for May's Aloha RAK...

Hey All....

Several questions and concerns came up about the sign up for the May RAK... just wanted to clarify, as I didn't state in the 1st posting of this Aloha RAK - the challenge set forth is for FUN. It is NOT a requirement to play. If you don't want to make a card with the colors, that is fine, and you are still welcome to play along.

The 5 stamped images may be of the same or all different images. These images are NOT to use on your created card, rather to give to your receiver. This is so that those that participate will receive a little goodie - but not a WHOLE lot.

Do NOT go out and purchase stuff to send to your receiver. You are welcome to "share" some of the products that you already have on hand (hence the stamped images). But please do NOT feel obligated to purchase products for your reciever.

There is still time to sign up for the May RAK. Please click here to sign up. Last day is on Friday, April 24th.

Last, if you do decide to take on the challenge, please do not forget to email me with a photo of your creation, I would love to post here on my blog when time comes.

Christmas Weekly Challenge #13

Ok... I'm back!!! Been hiding out for a while, again. Just got lots of things going on with my kids, home and friends. I've been creating, taking pictures, but not able to post them as quick as possible. Still trying to get myself on a system. I've also had a Cricut class this weekend, at Photo Craft. It was a fun class, and a wonderful bunch of crafty ladies!! I will be having another class this Friday at my home. So, if you don't work during the day, and would love to learn more about the Cricut, and do some Cricut projects, please email me and let me know. The class will be from 9 am - 12 pm, and it is $10, bring a pupu. This is open to anyone that resides on the island of Oahu. =0)

I'm late for this challenge. Please forgive me. We're on week #13, wowzah!!! Here is the sketch that Maria put out for us to do. It was fun doing this creation. I used my Cricut again. I dunno, as of lately - I have been really into using my Cricut machine. Maybe it's because I know it was such a big investment? But so are my stamps, right? I want to at least try to create 1 stamped product and 1 Cricut product daily. Notice I said "try" because, really - I don't know if I can even create 1 daily in the first place. Seems if I place goals, I can never get it done, so why don't I just be quiet and do what I can do, right?! Amen!!

Sorry I haven't been around your blogs lately - I will get to some today, and visit you in this hour. I hope it doesn't take me an hour just to post this card up. That's the thing, I just seem to let my fingers ramble off, and then I'm writing about things that don't really matter. Sometimes, it's because I want my posting to be filled with words, and not just dead space. But I dunno, might have to think about that. Does anyone really care what I write and say anyways? LOL... really, it's also a little daily journal for myself to read back upon one day. You can obviously tell that my mind goes on and on about things.

Anyways, for my card, I used DCWV design paper, Cricut: Doodle Charms (for reindeer and circles), Friskar's scissors for the scallop border, the sentiment is from Hero Arts, and the ticket punched edges I used with my circle punch. You can check out my tutorial here if you wanna see how I did it. Oh!!! Don't you think them googlie eyes are soooo darling?!?!?! I have a entire stash of them, so don't be surprise if you see more of them googlie eyes.

Please visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to check out the other creation made by the Diva Design team. They all did such a great job - and most of us used some kinda scallop in our sketch, I thought that was so neat!!!

Ok, I'm off to wash the dishes, and then I've gotta take my doggies to the groomers!!! Yay!!! I'll post pics of how they look before n' after. =0) That would be fun, huh?!?!

Hugs,
Jen

Aloha RAK Sign Up **OPEN**: FOR MAY

It is BACK!! The Aloha RAK, that is.... and I'm putting a little "twist" to it and adding a little challenge to each monthly Aloha RAK. Hopefully it is as fun to all of you, as it seems to me... here's what you'll need to do:

1st off, RAK is an acronym for Random Act of Kindness. You are simply creating a little something to brighten someone's day. You will be matched up with someone whom you may or may not know. The matching is done by me. However, that person will not know who her RAK'r is until she receives her RAK, and vice versa. This Aloha RAK is open to everyone everywhere.

For The Month of May, here is your challenge:
(Corrected, as previously showed for the month of "April")

You are to create your card or project using these 4 colors:

Please include a minimum of 5 stamped images, stamped on white cardstock, with black ink.

At the end of the month, I will post all participants creations here on my blog. Therefore, when you are done with your project, please email me a photo or link to your project.

Please comment here if you would like to sign up for the Aloha RAK for the month of May. Then email me at littlecs7@gmail.com with your mailing address. Last day for sign ups will be on April 24th, 2009 (Friday).

It's time to play!!!!

Aloha,
Jen

Birthday Goodies for Michelle

Hows it going, people!??! My friend Michelle, of Mushi's Creative Inspirations celebrated her birthday last month. Here is what I sent her....

A Pillow box cut using my cricut, this box was from the Wedding solutions cartridge. Other cartridges I used were Hello Kitty Font, and Pooh & Friends. I filled this box with some stamping goodies.

Here is a clear tube that I filled with some beads, then decorated with some flower blings, oh - and used a Himawari Baby image too!! The image I used is "Honey Bug" - I added some stickles for glitz, added a little more color to her hair with my Copics, and a flower bling for her hair.

By the way... For those of you that don't own a Cricut, but would love to have some cuts of your own, please check out my Cricut blog: Cricut Cuts By Jen for details on how to order them from me!! Cuts come fully assembled, and shipping is FREE!!! This would be a great way for those that also own a Cricut, but don't have a certain cartridge they are looking for, and might only want 1 or 2 cuts from that particular cartridge. Check out the sidebar for more info on other products and services I have available. =0)

Hope you're having a blessed Thursday!! I'm working on my projects for this week's classes!! I have 2 classes this weekend, a Cricut class on Saturday, at Photo Craft - a Local Craft Store here in Hawaii (email me at littlecs7@gmail.com for more info), and my Glama Gurlz are getting together at my house on Sunday. WooooOooo HoooOoooo... can't wait to see my Glamaz, I miss them all soooo very much!!! We're going to have a great time!!!!

The week's almost over!!! Yeee Haaaawwww....

Hugs,
Jen
