Introducing Himawari Babies.... (I'm A Queen Bee!!!)

What are these cutie pies, huh?!?! Himawari Babies is the babies of Cristina Visi. Cristina is a talented artist who lives on Oahu, Hawaii. We first met via email, and I sent her my blog addy. Cristina was impressed with my creations, and fell in love with me immediately. For real, I'm not lying. =0) We decided to meet in person, at Brian's store - Photo Craft, where she sells her images at, on sheets of 8-1/2" x 11". Cristina also has an online store located here - at Himawari Babies. Upon meeting Cristina in person, I found out that she is one energenic pup, that has an awesome capability in drawing.... Oh My!!! Check out these sheets with these supah cute images!!! All you need to do is cut them out, or you can purchase the "Character Punches" sheets that allow you to use your 2" and above shape punches to easily get punch them off of the cardstock - of course your Nesties would be great to use too.

Cristina had then asked me to be her "Queen Bee" and create with some of her images for her. What an honor. I was thrilled... so here I am, helping her spread the word about her Himawari Babies. Please check out Cristina's online store, there you can read more about herself and her Himawari Babies. As mentioned, she sells them on 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock, as well as kiddie t-shirts. I can't wait to share with you the creations that are wheeling around in my head. =0)

Here are some of the sheets that are currently on her site....and guess what?! Beginning today, til' April 7th, Cristina is having a 20% off sale. The coupon code for this sale is "HB309" that is a "zero" and not a letter "o"... so go on over and check out what she has. I kid you not, she's got super cute images that you will instantly fall in love with. =0)

I look forward in sharing with you all the different ways that these cute images can be used...

As you can see, she has both girls n' boys characters. I am sure you will find one that represents the little one(s) in your life.... you will find a lot more sheets other than the 4 that I show in this posting, I just picked the 4 that I thought that people would like.

For my 1st Himawari Babies creation, I chose to create with the logo image itself. I experimented to see if I could color over the already colored image. And yes I could!!! See the photo to the right.... this image is called "Himawari Chan". The image on the left has been colorfied by me with stickles, and then I colored his hat, hair and shoes with my Copics. I also added some stickles to his clothing. I was just messing around trying to see how it would look after coloring, and was quite pleased to see that they were re-colorable. You can see that I was able to add shading to his hair, adding depth to the image.

After all my "testing" - I created this card here. Simple n' sweet. My kinda card. =0)

The sentiment n' swirls is a rub on of Stampin' Up! I used stickles to add a some dots to the card, and dew drops... DS paper is of 3 Bugs, and it went perfect with my red Bazzill Basic textured cardstock.

So this is it.... I hope you go on over now, and check out Cristina's lil' store. Don't forget to take advantage of her 20% off sale.... the code again is "HB309" and it is a "zero"and NOT a letter "o", and it ends on April 7th, 2009 - next Tuesday.

BTW.... My BLOG-A-Versary came n' went!!! It must've happened while I was on vacation.... I will have to think about a "giveaway"..... so, give me some time to think how I'm going to do this, because you know I like to have F-U-N..... but keep checking back to see what I come up with and what's going to be at steak....

Thanks again for stopping by.

Have a Happy Happy Tuesday!!!!

Christmas Sketch Challenge #10

Wooo hooo... I didn't think I was going to make it... but I did!! I'm back in the game, and I want to catch up with all the Christmas Challenges that I've missed. I hope I can do that sometime this week, but I've still got a full plate.... just trying to juggle things here n' there, and sneak a little time to create when I can. This morning, CY4 went back to school, while Cy is still on another week of Spring Break. My DH took the kids to school, which allowed me to create while Cy slept in. What a blessing it was... nice n' quite (until 30 minutes ago). But I was able to complete the challenge... so YAY!!!!!

Here is the sketch for this week. It's already week 10 of Christmas card creating on our Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog, I can't believe that we are already on week 10. Dang, the days n' months are flying by soooo quickly - huh?! If you are one that want to create handmade Christmas cards for your family/friends, but procrastinates and waits til' the last days before Christmas (totally describing ME!!!), then you might wanna take a look at this blog, as it challenges you to create towards that goal of Christmas cards that you want to make (but never end up making)...LOL!!! By the end of the year, I should have at least 40 cards... so I'm stoked about having a head start. Anyways, check out the blog, there are a huge group of designer divas that participate weekly - and feed you with ideas of their own. It's really fun to see what everyone comes up with. You can join the fun by creating a Christmas card of your own, following the weekly challenges, and uploading to the net. Give it a try....

On to my card creation... right now, I'm in the "pink n' blue" mood, creating a lot of things in pink n' blue lately. Actually, I just love working with Spring colors all the time. I can't seem to break away... they turn out soooo cute, tho'... love working with these colors. The stamps that I used for this week's challenge are all from The Cat's Pajama's. (The sentiment and snowflakes are of Hero Arts). When I saw the sketch that Maria selected, I knew I wanted to make a scenery type of card... and I thought it would be so funny that a polar bear was fishing in the same lake that the doggie was skating at... doh!!! Don't get tooo close, huh!??! LOL... I've added stickles to add sparkles, and drew in the lake myself (but that's the extent of my art drawing), and colored with my copics.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday. Enjoy the week.... now to start mines!!!

Aloha,
Jen

Last Days of Our Family Vacation....

Hey There.... after spending time with our good friends in Washington, we jumped on a plane that flew us to Sacramento, CA., where my sister Nash lives. She's the one I've mentioned a couple times about who owns a store there in Walnut Grove. This was the 1st time I was going to see her. I totally had this part of the trip planned, as I have promised her that the next time I head to the mainland, I would definitely stop by and pay her a visit. The flight to Sacramento took about 1 hour and 20 minutes. It was a smooth ride, and a quick one too. I was pretty proud of myself, and thanked the Lord the entire way there. I was most excited about heading over to Sacramento, because we were flying over land. I had dreamed about taking some photos of land, while flying over, and that was exactly what I did. Check out these photos of these mountain tops peaking out above the clouds, aren't they GORGEOUS?!?!?! Talk about the beauty of God's creations, huh?!?! I THINK that is the top of either Mt. Rainier or Mt. St Helen's... one of them.

When we landed, we went to get our rental car, and it took FOREVER someone to help us. 1st off, there were 2 reps at the counter, and 7 people in line. When DH got into line, there were 8 people in line, and one of the reps disappeared. What timing for him to take a break during the time when there are a whole bunch of people in line, huh?! That was really sad, because we waited, and waited, and waited, and it took 40 minutes before we finally got the key to our rental. But the good thing was that I scored a deal on the rental. Got a premium car for $47.99/day, while others were paying $129/day - why?! I dunno, the rep says I got in on a day that was just PERFECT timing, where they were having a great deal going on. I scored!!!! God works wonders, doesn't he?!?! Praise the Lord!!!!

We used my phone's GPS to get to my sister's house - Yay for Sprint!!! Well, we also had instructions via Google Map. They were both different ways of getting to my sister's place. We followed the beginning part of Google's instructions, and then followed the GPS on my phone. In no time, we were at my sister's store/house. We dropped our luggages off to the cottage right next door to her place, as that was where we were staying at. So cool, huh?!?! I really loved the ease of location, and the comfort of being able to walk right next door to her place - but there were some things about the cottage that were kinda weird. I'll write more about that later. When we got to my sister's store, she was sooo happy to see us. You can see in the pic that she is squeezing Cy to oodles... she really misses us and we miss her sooo much too!!! It was sweet to see how happy she was to see us. PRICELESS!!!! Cy immediately took to Nash's cat, Calie... she's such a furry thick thing... Nash says during the summer, she shaves Calie's fur off, for her comfort. I would love to see how Calie looks without fur... tee hee....

Our 2nd day in Walnut Grove, we headed to Sacramento, and checked out Arden Fair Way - it's a mall. With a carousel!!!!! Being that it was a weekday, there was NO ONE in the mall... at least not by the carousel. So Cy had it all to himself. It was pretty neat to see this huge machine in the mall - although I've seen it once before in a mall in Vegas. But the excitement on Cy's face when he seen the carrousel - soooo cute!!!! Those are MY legs standing behind the horse Cy was riding. LOL... DH was trying to get a good shot, but I think this was the best one that he got. Oh well...

After the mall, we went to Guy Fieri's restaurant - Tex Wasabi. DH heard about this restaurant, and we watch Guy on TV all the time, we don't actually know when his show is on, but when it is, we'll watch it. And DH told me that for sure, we were going to check out his restaurant when we got to Sacramento. DH loved it!! I on the other hand was already feeling kinda sick, and stuffy - so I couldn't enjoy the actual taste of the food. CY4 busted out with this NASTY rash behind his ears.... oh boy - I felt so bad for him. So to help with the itch, I gave him Benedryl... poor guy, he fell asleep at the table, and missed out on the food. However, we did order him a hamburger for him to eat later - but I had to get a pic of him sleeping through the meal..... LOL!!! I should've used an "indepth" feature on my camera, huh Maria?! That would've been cool!!!! As for the rash - we really don't know what he was allergic to. There were sooo many NEW things that we came in contact with, we just don't know. His rash went away within 2 days of being back home.

On the way back to the cottage, BOTH boys fell asleep... LOL!!! It was the cutest!!! Ya, a lot of photos of our pics were taken of them sleeping. LOL... just kidding. Cy fell asleep while watching a DVD, and CY4... well, he was still sleepy from the Benedryl. LOL....

Later that evening, we met up with one of DH's work colleague and his wife. Whenever Dan comes to Oahu, we go out and have dinner together. This was no different, but instead us being on his side of the world. And, we finally got to meet his adorable wife, Michelle. =0) (Dang, how many Michelle's do I know, already!?!?! ). We went to Paragary? I dunno... something like that. It was an Italian restaurant. We had a wonderful dinner, and just a great time talking stories with Dan, and getting to know his wife Michelle. This was the 1st time that we've met her, so that was fun!!!! Check out Cy, he took to her pretty well - but he always warms up to people pretty quick anyways.

The next day was a HUGE day for us. We headed to San Francisco!!! Woooo Hoooo!!!! I was totally excited for this day, and totally looking forward for this day to come. We were all excited about it. DH went to San Francisco before, and he was excited for us to see it for the first time. Everything there was just BEAUTIFUL!!!! DH and I plan on going back in 5 years from now to celebrate our 20th anniversary, and this time ALONE. But if we are able to return there before our 20th, that would be nice too. My parents are telling me that they wanna go with us, and that would be nice - because I think the only other place that they've seen other than Virginia, is Las Vegas. How strange, huh?!

This is taking me quite some time to write. I've come back to this post like 4 times already... lol. It's almost OVER.... I promise. Well, the 1st thing we saw after getting out of our car at San Francisco was the famous Pier 39. Off of the pier, a group of seals gathered and apparently hangs out on these docks. Tooo funny... so we took the kids to look at them for a little bit, and off to the far right was Alcatraz.... I wanted to do a tour of that place. But I think it would be a lot more fun when we go just together (CY3 n' I) or when the kids grow a little older.

We took a tour of San Francisco by getting on a double decker bus tour, and went to all the places that made San Francisco why it is. It was just an awesome experience for me, and for my entire family. We all had a great time there..... I was just in awe of the Golden Gate Bridge, this structure is HUGE!!!! And I loved seeing it in person!!! What a feeling.....

By the time we got to the Golden Gate Bridge tho', was too cold for Cy n' I to stay up on the top of the double decker - so we moved to the bottom of the bus. We still were able to enjoy it....

After our tour, we hopped on a Cable Car and rode up and down the streets of San Francisco. After all that, we sat in a restaurant, and ate lobster, crab and shrimp... ahhhh... I was full, and just very happy that day. =0)

The next day, my sister Nash held a potluck at her store/house to invite some of my girlfriends that have transplanted from Hawaii to California. Lei and Daisy came with their family, and hung out with me n' my family. Also, Marie Pavitt, of Aloha & Mabuhay - a blog reader & friend came out to meet me in person for the 1st time!!!! What an honor. It was so neat and awesome to meet Marie, and just wonderful for Lei and Daisy as well, to come out to see us. Thank you all that have driven the distance... it was an awesome ono kine grindz gathering.... everyone was full after the gathering, and they even shopped a little at my sister's store. Thanks Sisters!!!!

Here are pics taken of me n' my girls from the potluck...

By this time, I was ready to go home...... **sigh** time to create... I have to get back on track, and get in the grove... thanks for being patient, and sitting through all my writings. If you would like to see more pics from our family vacation, I will be uploading them to my Facebook account. So you can view all of them on there later.

Big Hugs,
Jen

A Two Scoops Rice Creation

Well lookie what I found here.... a Two Scoops Rice Design Creation that I created prior to my vacation, but haven't been posted yet.... thought it would be nice to finally post something that I've created. I have already returned from my trip to the mainland, but I will still update all of you on my trip of days 6 thru 9, as these days were very fun and exciting days for us Young's. If you haven't been to the Two Scoops Rice Designs site recently, be sure to go check it out - Renae has updated the site, and made it even cuter than it was before. I love how whimsical it looks. It's darling!!!!

Back to my creation. So this is what I started off with. Before I left for my trip, I started to reorganize my craft area. I've taken a drawer, and sorted my DS papers as well as cardstock in order of "family color" in hopes that it'll help me coordinate color combos better than my norm. I am not sure if it was helping here with this card. LOL!!! I don't do very well if the colors I am using are not pastel colors. I just love all pastel colors.... they are so bright n' cheery to work with. =0)

I used this image from Two Scoops Designs, and colored it in with my Copics. The sentiment is an old stamp that I've had like forever.... and I thought it would go good with this image. Speaking of Two Scoops - I just got my very 1st order!!!!! I'm so excited about them, and I can't wait to start using them all!!!! It's a whole bag... but I really don't know when I'll get to use them. I always purchase a whole bunch of stuffs, and then they sit... and wait.... and sit n' wait some more... and so I'm just so excited about using them, I just don't know when that'll happen!!! LOL!!!!

Ok, back to my card again... I used the circle scallop spellbinder, and used some stickles to add glitz to my project. The dots on the mushroom, as well as the lil' fairy's clothing, and the dots on the scallop cut. For the fairy's wings, I used this Luminere paint (see next photo). I just applied a very thin coat on the wings, and it gave a little shimmer. Kinda like that Shimmerz paint thing. But I don't think any local Hawaii store sell them Shimmerz, so that Luminere paint will do the trick. I am sure that bottle will last forever, as I've only used a little dip from it. Will have to think up more ways to make use of it.

After looking at my card, I still thought that it looked kinda plain... it wasn't really making me happy. So I thought I'd add a whole bunch of dew drops to make the card a little more fun. The last photo is what it turned out to be.... what do you think?!

Go ahead... you can laugh. =0) I think it's kinda cute....

Ok, I'll post more on my trip later - and I have got to get back into the grove of creating!!! Coming back home feels like I want to just take a break from everything, as well as crafting, although I do have some withdrawals in wanting to create. Have to go and see what's new in the crafty world.... hope everyone is doing well, and that everyone is having a wonderful Spring Break. I'm sick with some kinda cold/allergy... can't wait to kick it. I made this Baby Girl Word book with my cricut before the trip, so I can't wait to share that with all of you!!!

See you again soon!!!
Aloha,
Jen

Vacation Day 3, Day 4 & Day 5

Hey there.... sorry I haven't updated about our trip, I caught this nasty cold, or could it be allergies?! Anyways, I'm all stuffed up in the head, nose is stuffy and runny, head is pressured - I hate feeling this way!!! How can we tell if it's a cold or allergy? Do you know? I'd like to know. Well anyways, here's my lil' posting and trying to catch everyone up on what's going on with us. Sorry it isn't postings about creations - but don't worry, when I get back home, I'll start creating again. I've had a couple of people unsubscribe from my reader, due to "no longer related content"... hee hee... but my content will be related once again when I get back home, so don't worry!!!!! Anyways, here it is.....

What a surprise it was for me when I first awoke Sunday morning (3/15). I got out of bed, and as I passed one of the windows in the house - I saw something white, soft n' fluffy quickly falling from the sky. I thought, "No Way!!!! Is that snowflakes that I see falling?!" - yes it was!!!! Oh my, what a blessing!!!! I was so excited, happy and giddy all at the same time - like a little child 1st seeing snow fall. Technically, it really was the 1st time I saw snow falling, and it was amazing for me. I caught a few of it on camera, and CY3 was taking a shower - I stuck my head into the bathroom and excitedly exclaimed "Honey!!! It's snowing!!!"..... he quickly finished up to come out and see snow falling for himself. I woke Cy up, and he immediately jumped out of bed. CY4 on the other hand, wasn't feeling too well - so he slept through the whole thing. =0(

That day, we planned to head out to go and see my brother who lived in the southern part of Seattle. But not before we went to check out the shopping mall at Portland, OR. When we first entered Oregon, we were kinda hungry. It took us about 2-1/2 hours to get from point A to point B, with shi-shi stops along the way. Because we don't have a Sonic in Hawaii, we all wanted to check out what this "Sonic" was about. Ahhhh, it's alright - not like "super delicious", and actually - it was sorta like the Wendy's we have in Hawaii. But their food really hit the spot at that time, though, so I ain't complaining. For those of you that don't know about Sonic - you order your food from a speaker thingy, and then they will bring the food out to you. It's kinda like a drive thru window, but you don't drive thru - you stay there and wait n' eat. The only thing better would've been if they brought food out to you while riding skates.... lol.... that would've been cool to see - kinda reminds me of the show "Happy Days" (oh ya, Dawne - you never watched that show, ya?!). They also had a drive thru window, so I guess if you don't want to eat your meal in the parking lot - you drive off. It was nice eating with our friends, we were all cozy in the van, chomping down on food.

We then headed to Lloyd Center after eating. Ummmm... if you know me, you know that I am not a shopper. But going to the mall to me means eating some mall treats. LOL.... CY4 checked out some games at Software Etc., but didn't really find anything that he wanted (knowing that we were going to the Microsoft store in a couple of days). CY3 (my hubby) bought some stuffs from Champs, the kinda stuffs he can't get back home. Me, I picked up some, ready?!?! Cinnabons.... lol!!! They always seem to look so delish being baked behind that window.... ahhhh.... and that creamy topping.... YUMM-O!!!!! The mall also had an indoor ice skating rink... I thought that was pretty cool. After the mall, we headed to my brother's house which was about 30 minutes away. My brother had fried chicken and another chicken dish ready for all of us to eat. (I LOVE Chicken - and I think I told him that, or maybe he loves it too?!). I met his wife and son for the 2nd time in my life - last time I saw them was back in 2002, Cy wasn't even born yet!!! So it was pretty cool to hang out - oh, and guess what?! He had a Karaoke Mic thingy... I know all of you that Karaoke's know about this mic... it has like 300 songs ona chip that you can insert into the mic, and sing to your heart's content. Well, that's what they had. He busted that thing out - and we went to TOWN!!!!! We took over his mic and sang for like 2-1/2 hours on that thing. CY4, Dan, Bern n' I were having a great time!!! So great, that Bern fell in love with it, and left WANTING one!!!! So our goal for the next few days were to hunt it down, and find out where we could buy one like it!!! I know that the Don Quijote in Hawaii sells them - but wasn't sure if they had one here in WA.

When we got back home to our friend's house, we were hungry again (LOL!!!!), and Bern brought out left overs as well as cooked up a pot of corn chowder - I tell ya, she spoils us!!! The next day we were set to head to Canada!!!! I also started coming down with this cold (or allergy)... I was super cold, and just so tired. Couldn't breathe, and couldn't stop sniffling!!! But that corn chowder really hit the spot, and make me warm all over - but I have to be honest, I couldn't taste it, and that I'm really bummed about!!!

We started day 4 on time (did we really?!). We wanted to be in Canada by noon, and in order to do that - we had to leave the house between 8:30 am - 9 am. We left at 8:40 am.... I was already sick, sick, sick!!! LOL... but I persevered, and pulled through. CY3 offered me to stay home, and he would go and take the boys with Dan n' Bern, but I didn't want to miss the look on their faces... no way - not for the world!!!! So, I layered on clothing after clothing - but I don't think I layered enough, I was still cold no matter what. We were heading to Canada, and going to Grouse Mountain. We had couple shi-shi stops along the way, infact, I think only 1 was necessary. That's the only thing about layering so much, when I go bathroom, everything must come off... ugh!!! When we got to Grouse Mountain, we took the Sky Ride to the top of the mountain. That was pretty fun, and amazing to see all the snow top covered trees below us. We went up n' up n' up til' we were 3,700 ft high!!! It was unbelievably breath taking. When we got to the top though - it was a different story. There was limited sight up there. Very very smoky like, snow was falling, and I guess the smoky look was because of this. The kids were so excited when we got to the top, and wanted to immediately play in the snow. They made snow angels, and snowballs which they gave to Dan n' Bern to save in their freezer - until our next visit. It was so fun to watch the kids' faces light up with glee, and watching them having a great time with snow. But man, only if it was as cold as sand.... we'd stay there forever. =0) Another thing, online it shows that Grouse Mountain is just 15 minutes away from downtown - what they don't tell you is that you have to go through downtown to get to Grouse Mountain, what took us more than 40 minutes to go through. After going through downtown, it was a breeze getting there.

We haded back home after a few hours, and stopped off at the Duty Free right at the Canadian border. Upon leaving, we were stopped at the border. CY3 n' I only had our Driver's License as forms of US Citizenship!! The border guy was giving us a hard time about not being US Citizens. I was like... "Are U Serious!?!" - I totally had thoughts of being stranded behind, and STUCK!!! I had a rush of agony run through me, for a quick second, and then he "ok'd" us to go through. Said that come June 2009, that it is a MUST to have forms of identification that can prove that we are US Citizens. So, if you travel there - I would just say, take your Birth Certificate or Naturalization papers with you, to save you some time and stress. I must apologize to the Cal Gals for not meeting up with them - I wish I had more time visiting Canada. It was such a short day in Canada, but it was truly an experience that we all enjoyed!!!

Dinner that night was going to be from Famous Dave's. Dan n' Bern raved about their ribs there, and boy was I ready to sink my teeth into them ribs. I was sick but I was ready to try it. Unfortunately, I didn't get the full effect of my taste buds, therefore I only got to experience the meat falling off the ribs, and not so much the taste of them. Oh well.... but they had such a huge spread... we loved it - great pick for dinner guys!!!! It was a wonderful feast, and the next day we were sleeping in, because our next day was a day full of shopping!!!

Day 5 I woke up still feeling sick. I was really hoping that I wasn't going to get sick on this trip - and CY3 was starting to feel it as well. Just not as bad as me. But I just did what I could. Our plans for Day 5 was to hit the Microsoft Store, Pacific Science Center, Best Buy and Michael's. We were still on the hunt to get that Karaoke Mic for Bern, and I wanted to check out Michael's. That was our first stop. One of my readers sent me 50% off Michael's coupon, and that was soooo awesome of her to do so - thanks Pat!!!! I used it on a clear acrylic stamp set that I know I wouldn't be able to find in Hawaii. I didn't go nuts... but I purchased some stuffs to at least say I shopped at the famous "Michael's". After Michael's, we headed to the Pacific Science Center. The kids had a blast there. We took CY4 there about 5 years ago, and boy have they made a lot of changes since then. We stayed there for about 2 hours. Checked out all the exhibits, and even enjoyed the Butterfly room, where you walk in a room full of butterflies - flying around n' about. We had to be careful not to step on any of them. We had to hurry and finish up at the PSC, because we wanted to have enough time to shop at the Microsoft Store. We bought a whole bunch of things at the Microsoft store. Dan - CY4's God Daddy works for Microsoft, therefore we were able to check out the Microsoft Museum, and test out all these different models of Microsoft products out there in today's market. Then shopping at the Microsoft store... programs, games, products, clothing, all Microsoft... I was sick n' sitting on the bench outside of the store was the option I chose. Which was a very good option, and glad that I did it - because I had to get as much rest as I could. CY3 n' CY4 did all the shopping, and they did just fine!!!

After all the shopping - we headed home, and Bern cooked up a chicken feast. Chicken Long Rice for me, Chicken Katsu and Garlic Chicken.... so onolicious!!! Did I mention that she spoils us?! This was our last night with our dear friends. We had such a great time with them. We were able to pack in a lot of things to do with them, in such a short lil' time, and it was soooo well worth it. Now, we're heading to Sacramento to spend some time with my sister, Nash... so I'll update you on that soon!!!

Thanks for reading..... see ya all again real soon!!!!

Seattle Trip Day 2

Hey Guys.... It's sooooo cold!!!! Dang, I thought 69 degrees in Hawaii was FREEZING - 40 degrees here - my tush feels like it has frost bite!!! Well, today, we went out to the Quest Field Stadium (Seahawk Stadium) and did a tour of it. Amazingly HUGE compared to our Aloha Stadium. This place has features that Aloha Stadium cannot even come close to. We enjoyed the tour, however Cy and CY4 lost both their beanies somewhere along the tour... but our tour guide, Amal was a sweetie and went back to see if she could find them. Fortunately, she was able to find CY4's beanie, it's too bad she couldn't find Cy's one, but it's ok - one is better than none, right?!?!

After doing the tour, we headed back to our friend's home - as CY4 had to do a dose of ihs asthma medication, so that is when I wrote the previous post. After doing his meds, we headed back out again - and this time, towards Pike's Fish Market. We wanted the kids to see some flying fish, plus Bern needed some seafood to cook us another feast tonight (we are soooo spoiled by her).... (When we got in last night from our flight, Bern had a HUGE pot of Portuguese Bean Soup ready for us to grind!!!).

So here are a few pics taken from today.... we are now home with the Kamana'o's and about ready to eat some ono home cooking!!! Thanks for popping in.....

Aloha,
Jen

Seattle Bound....

Hi Peeps.... we headed to Seattle yesterday, (Friday, 3/13/09)... here are some shots of us on Hawaiian Air. Usually, I don't like to fly on a plane - ok, I HATED flying on planes, until I started walking with the Lord. Ya, there may be some of you rolling your eyes, and going "whatever" - but no, for real.... He has really brought peace, and comfort into my heart, and the fear that I had for flying has dissipated. By "He" I mean Jesus, =0)...... The flight to Seattle was pretty shaky, and I thought that I handled it pretty good. I thought Cy would've take a nap during the flight - but he stayed up the entire time!!!! At least he wasn't a pest during this time, lol... he actually did really well - although he needed to go to the bathroom a whole bunch of times!!!! We also kept him busy watching DVD's, and CY3 kept busy watching o his laptop (actually the one in the picture is mines - by this time, his battery life killed over).

CY4 had a great time on the flight too - so funny, because his classmate actually was on the same flight as we were. They got to sit together, because there was an empty seat right next to him. How awesome that worked out, right?!?! That's his friend's red head showing in the pic below... =0)

By the time we got to Seattle, it was 10:20 pm, the temp was 40 degrees. Our friends picked us up, and now we're staying with them at their house. While here in Seattle, we plan to kick back and relax. Do a little roaming around, but not much. Just wanna spend time with our family and friends. My girlfriend Bernee plans to take me to Michael's.... so I will FINALLY get to check out this craft store all you mainlanders keep bragging about. But what do I want to buy?! I guess when that time comes, I will know huh?!?! Anyways, any of you stamping sisters from Hawaii need or rather WANT something - let me know.... I can pick it up for you. Just email or text me. I don't know when we're going to go to Michael's.

Today (Saturday) we did a tour of the Questfield Stadium (Seahawk Stadium) this morning, and now heading to Pike's - but I will share photos of that on my next posting. CY4 is sick, and Cy is getting over it. But they are both in great spirits.

So that's where I'm at... and I will share with you later the pics we took today.

Miss you all!!!

Hugs,
Jen
