Finally!! A 2 Scoops Rice Design...

Hey All,

FINALLY.... my 1st creation with the 2 Scoops Designs stamps that I received from Renae. 2 Scoops Designs' blog is located here. Check it out for the latest updates on where and when you can start getting these super cute designs.

For this card, I used "Aloha Musubi", and at first, I was trying to think of something that sounded "musubi-ish"... I 1st thought of "I Miss-Ubi You" - but didn't think that everyone would catch the "miss you" part very well, so instead I went with something that I thought would make sense "Congratulations"....lol!!! and on the inside of the card "Rice-Job!!!" for "NICE-Job!!!"... LOL!!!! Yep, that's my mento sense of humor.

Well, Renae has this image and more on her blog. So if you are interested in getting some for yourself, be sure to stop on over there, and send her an email to purchase.

What I used: Musubi Stamps - 2 Scoops: Aloha Musubi, Glaze for it's cheeks, Copic Sketch Markers, Bazzill Basic CS, Bling Flowers - From Little C's (I have them in stock, different colors too - just haven't had the chance to upload them to the online store, which I will be doing real soon!!!), Ribbon - SU!, Scallop Circle Dies - Nesties, Sizzix embossing plate for background embossing.

Thanks for popping in.... don't forget to play my game for a chance to win the created prize!!

Aloha,
Jen

Money Envelope Holder - A Video & Game to win these creations!!!!

I've started something weekly... you know me, always trying something new. I've started to give away my creations, as prizes for these silly games I like play. Last week, I had the game on PCP, and it was called "Keep One, Drop One word game" - that game went well, and the winner of that prize - which was the Hello Kitty Purse n' Note Pad set that I had (with Chocolate Macadamia Nut Hershey Kisses), was won by Gracie!! Those that participated were entered into my drawing, and then a winner was randomly chosen. I would like to continue this kinda games, and if you would like to play - then you will win. HOWEVER - I will be moving this game to Thursdays, because on Tuesdays, it'll be Little C's Challenges!!!! Yay!!!! So, gotta keep those days open so I can make sure I am doing them challenges, right!!?!?! Monday's I'll have the Christmas Blog Challenges... I want to somehow pre-designate themes of cards for me to create, so I'm not stuck in the "hmmmm... what to create now?" mode. I hope I can have a daily challenge for myself... but bwahahahahaha... am not sure if that's going to happen!!! Hahahhaa... Ok.. nuff with the ramblings, Jen - share your project, and get ready to PLAY ALONG!!!!!

For today's project & game prize, I created 5 Money Holder Envelopes. All were cut on my Cricut Machine, and the template for the envelopes was created by Your's Truly. =0) I used the George cartridge with my Design Studio program, and went to work. Brian gave me an Acuccut template to work off of. Yea!!! That was fun creating!!! I also made a video, so that for those interested in the Cricut Machine, can get a feel of how it works.

To give each envie a look of it's own, I've used my cuttlebug mini embossing folders. Pretty simple right!?!

I am not sure if Money Envie's are popular in your area, I mean, everyone loves receiving cash, but in a designed envie? It's either placed in a card, or nowadays giving Gift Cards are more popular. I know that the oldies here in Hawaii are used to giving money in a money envelope. Even the banks here have courtesy money holder envies for their customers that like to use them. At least I think theyare free . I used to see them from Bank of Hawaii. If any of your locals know what I'm talking about, please shed a light on me.....

Anyways, so these are the 5 Money Holder Envies that could possibly be YOUR's!!! If you play along, you name will be entered into my drawing, and then I will randomly select a winner. SO, here's the game n' the details on how to play....

****THE GAME: WHAT ONE WORD COMES TO MIND WHEN YOU SEE THE LAST WORD POSTED????****

***HOW TO PLAY*** Ok, this is fairly simple.... Each time you come here, check out the last word that was posted by the last commenter, comment in your post the word that YOU first think of. For example... If I start with "green" the next commenter might say "grass" and then next may say "cows" etc., etc., - each time you play, your name is entered into the drawing, there is no limit. Just keep the game going.

Game ends on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009 at 6 am Hawaii Time. The winner will be announced on that day, or on Wednesday. A new game n' creation will be posted on Thursday of that week.

Let's begin with the word >>>>>>> SMILE

For those of you that have the Design Studio program, and would like to download this Money Holder Envie , you need the George Basic Shape cartridge. Please click here to download the cut file.

Here is what the inside of the envie looks like....

Ok wait - before you go, here's my video showing how I cut one of these Money Holder Envies. Enjoy!! I have fun making it....

Self-Proclaimed Design Team Member... for Christmas Stampin' Blog

heh.. heh... Maria had a call out last week, for those that wanted or rather, NEEDED to start on their Christmas cards NOW. So I signed up. Hey, I gotta sign up for stuffs too, right?!?! I can't always be the creator. LOL!! So because I am one of the participators on the blog, which by the way is called "Christmas Stampin' All Year Long", I have Self-Proclaimed myself in being one of the "DTs" for it. Maria said this is just a FUN thing for us, and that is truly what it is. Also a way to get us motivated, and get ahead of the ball game... it'll be fun to create Christmas cards throughout the year, and get them on a roll, especially because I was not on top of it last year, and that was really pathetic of me to not send out any created Christmas cards. Boo Hoo..

Maria is really great for starting this blog. She will be posting weekly challenges to put us to the test. There are no prizes to win, just satisfaction in knowing that there is 1 less card to go, and that is A LOT!!! So, why don't you come and play along, every once in a while.... it'll be fun, and I think you will be satisfied as well. Maria put out a Sketch Challenge for this week, as you can see - her sketch is awesome. I love Maria's sketches, because they are clean n' doable. My sample features Maria's sketch turned 90 degrees to the left.

Here's what I've used:

DSP: DCWV, Sentiment: TAC, Image: Whipper Snapper, Ribbon: Pink Organdy, Cardstock: SU!, and Dew Drops: Flame, Scallop edge was cut with my Friskar's Scissors: Clouds

I had a great time creating this card. I think especially because I wasn't rushing to get it out. LOL!!!

There are other talented ladies that also took on Maria's challenge. You can check them out on the Christmas Stampin' blog. Go on over and see what everyone else has come up with. You'll be smiling.. Looking forward in working on the next challenge, Maria!!! Thank you for planning this for us!!

Have a wonderful week everyone....

Aloha,
Jen

RAK from my SIL Ida Young

Hey Peeps... hope you are all having a great Aloha Friday day today. I'm so happy it's the weekend... can't wait to stamp all weekend!! Going to have a stamping session tonight (a lone get together with a friend), then tomorrow some stamping fun at another friend's house, and then on Sunday, a teeeeny weeeeny get together with some of my other stamping girlfriends - but not til' after church of course!!!! I wanna make sure I thank the Lord for giving me opportunities like this, ya know?!?! He's really bringing a lot more sunshine into our lives lately, so praising him is bringing me glory!!!! But OH boy, my house will be a MESS come Monday huh?!?! Yikes!!! It'll be all worth it, I'm sure!! Tee hee... Ok, here's a RAK I wanna share with you that I received from my SIL Ida. She gave this to me for Christmas. Very Cute, huh?! Well, I loved it so much - I shared it with my Glama Gurlz this past weekend, and they too got to make these. I don't know why, but I only have a photo of the one that Bobbie made (hahaha...... sorry girls!!!), oh and mines too... but I don't know what happen to everyone else's! If I find those photos, I will share with you later.

Ok, Ida used DP paper on 4x4 coasters, and adhered them to each side of the coasters. Her sentiments are SU! stamps. The cute woodchips are from Walmart, so are the magnets

on the back of her coasters. Just adhere the 1x2 mini post its to the coaster, and it becomes a mini post it note holder for the fridge!!! Pretty cute n' easy, right?!?! The woodchips were adhered to the coaster with tacky glue, at least that's what we've used.

I like that Ida used the DP on the back too. I was too lazy, and just stuck the magnets on the back without covering them. Oh, I got my coasters from Outback Steakhouse. Asked the waitress for a couple of them, and she brought me about 20. So that was cool!!!

Ok, well here is my version - almost looks like Ida's 1st one up on top, but I ink'd the edges of my coaster....

This one was the one Bobbie made....

How's here putting that lil' flower on the turtle's head.... supah cute, ya?!

Ok... next I will post photos of what the Glama Gurlz created.

Have an awesome weekend!!!

Aloha & Blessings....

My 1st Hello Kitty Creations with HK Cartridges

FINALLY.... I was able to open my Hello Kitty Cricut Cartridges and try them out. I created a lil' purse holder, which I cut on my Cricut using the "Tags, Bags, Boxes n' More" cartridge, and then used my Hello Kitty Font and Hello Kitty Greetings for each of the HK heads. I did this project while the Glama Gurlz were over this past Saturday. They talked stories, while I tried to figure out what I was doing. Hee hee.....

Cardstock is of Bazzill Basic, and DS Paper is of Basic Grey. I added a row of tiny beads going down each side... can you see it?!

I am giving away this project away, by the way.... do you want a chance at winning it?! Check out the game I have posted here on Paper Craft Planet, and come play along. All participants will be entered in a drawing to win this project - and YES, it COMES WITH ALL OF THE MACADAMIA NUT HERSHEY KISSES SHOWN HERE AS WELL!!!!

Good Luck!!! Game ends this Sunday, January 25th, 6 am Hawaii Time.

On another note.... I've got some work to do, as I've received my 1st package from Two Scoops Designs!!! Yee Haw!!! I'm going to pray that I get some time tonight to create with them fresh new smelling stamps...

Have a wonderful evening!!!

Aloha,
Jen

From Eunice...

Hello All!!! Chinese New Year's is right around the corner, and Hawaii is big time into Chinese New Year's because of our diversity of culture here. Although my parents do not celebrate Chinese New Years, I have 1/3 Chinese in my nationality. Anyhoots, my girlfriend Eunice - from A Star For Chiemi decorated this cute clear paint pail in celebration of Chinese New Year's and has blessed me with it. Chinese New Year this year isn't til' the 26th of January, but Eunice is just sooo on it, and wanted to be ahead of herself, and I commend her for that!!! Because this year is the Year of The Ox, she used a cow die cut from the Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge, and simply added a few more cuts to make it an Ox instead. Great imagination, Eunice!!!! Sooo cute, don't ya agree!?!?! I took photos of all sides, so that you could get a 360 look at it. In the pail, there were tasty furikake n' candy dipped pretzels that my kids n' I munched on immediately. Here... take a look at it...

Thank you sooo much, Eunice!!! Your decorated can really made me smile n' feel so special!!! I think I want that cartridge too now... hmmmm!!!

Toodles!
