A Super Cool RAK from Flossie....

Hello All...

I received this super-duper cute delivery the other day from Flossie. When the courier brought it to me, I thought, "what in the world?!".... I couldn't believe she stuffed a bunch of stuffs through the bottle neck, and got them all in. Check it out!!!! Here's what I received in the mail. A bottle stuffed with stuffs!!

So how in the world did she get all these stuffs in this bottle?!

Sir Chazz figured it out - see photos below...

Yep - here he is happily opening the cool gift from Aunty Flossie, and he found the secret door to it all... wait till you see all that was inside!!!!

Here are all the goods.... so much stuffs. Unbelievable that they were all in that bottle, eh?! More pics of them close up....

BIG Mahaloz to Aunty Flossie!!! Thanks Sweetie!!!! Everyone were happy with what we received!!!

Pidgin Word Of The Week....

Hello All... "Pidgin Word Of The Week" is....

So Nails.... (pronounced: So Na-Yos)

Meaning: Junk, Sucks, Ugly, Not Being Able To Make It.....

Ways to use it:

Junk: "Da prom was so na-yos dis year!"

Sucks: "Da football game was so na-yos! cause we didn't win"

Ugly: "Girl, yo' boyfriend so na-yos, wot happen?!"

Not Being Able To Make It: "so na-yos..."

My sentence: "Wassup wit' gas prices...so na-yos!"

Your turn...

My 1st order from TAC!!!

How exciting! I've received my 1st order of TAC products yesterday. That was only 1/2 of what I've ordered though. I'm still waiting for my stamps.... and more sweets. I'm also waiting for another batch of catalogs.... and the other part to my 1st order. Can't wait!!! I'm totally excited!!! I'm looking forward in getting started, and planning my upcoming Open House. I've got a lot of work ahead of me - so there might not be much of my creations being posted.... at least not YET!!!

Anyways, thought I'd share a photo of what I've received so far. I am totally stoked.... and want to use them already. But, I haven't received the stamps yet. I am hoping they will all arrive today!!!!

Can't wait.....

Jul 30, 2007

They've Arrived!!!!

Yipee Ai Yo!! Yay!!! I received shipment from TAC today. It's not my entire order though. I'm still waiting on 26 catalogs, and another box of my goods - which are my stamps and I believe are all arriving tomorrow!!! Can't wait!!! I was excited, I had to immediately take the picture right there and then on my kitchen floor. Here are the sweets I received.... YUMM-O, eh?!

This is what I got in this shipment.... 7 sets of DS paper kits, 20 ink pads, 2 sets of coasters - 1 square, 1 circle, 1 Maya Roads Tab Chipboard Book, my very 1st set of Prismacolor Pencils, Sealant, 24 catalogs (I'm waiting for 26 more!), and 2 sets of 8x8 ds paper stacks. I can't wait to create! But that's going to have to wait for now, for it is now way past my bedtime!!! Oh! By the way, this is NOT my starter kit..... this is only 1/2 of my 1st order of products. As I mentioned, I'm waiting on 1 more box of goodies, and 26 more catalogs.

FYI.....I brought in 50 catalogs, and 37 of them are accounted for! If you are interested in obtaining a TAC catalog, I will give 1 to the first 13 people that comment here for just the cost of shipping via USPS Flat Rate of $5 (USA), $12 (Canada).

Tomorrow is just 6 hours away for me.... can't wait to see my new stamps!!!!

hugs n' aloha,
Jen

A Pay It Forward Tag!!! I'm It!!!

This one is a pretty neat tag.... I've been tagged by Corie and Charly-girl. This is a pay it forward tag. Tag 5 more sweeties, and send a RAK out to someone, anyone, friend, family, foe (wow! that would really be paying it forward, eh?!).... Here's the sweets I'm tagging. I'm taking it out of blogland though... but not really. These ladies read my blog on a daily basis, together with their tea, coffee, bread n' jam, they just don't own a blog of their own. Thought it would be neat to get them involved.....

Taking A Break....

Hey All....

Did you notice that I didn't post any challenges yet?! That's cause I'm going to take a break from doing a challenge this week. With my "Big Candi Pieces Giveaway" going on, I didn't want to confuse myself. That's so easy to do!!! I can't believe that August is just 2 days away!!! My oh My!!!

This week - I am looking forward in receiving SOMETHING from TAC. I am anxiously awaiting my starter kit, and my 1st order. Hahaha... here we go again, eh?! I still haven't heard from my sister if she received the starter kit. She's in California, and is receiving the starter kit for me. TAC's starter kit is $150 and $65 shipping to Hawaii. BUT.... because I've got my sister in Cali, I'm having the kit sent there, for $20 instead, and then she's going to send them to me via USPS Flat Rate $8.95 (maybe in 2 boxes), which'll still cost me 1/2 of the shipping fees that would've cost me to send directly to me. All orders thereafter are 10% shipping within the USA, and will be shipped directly to me. I wouldn't be surprised if my 1st order was received before my starter kit. Infact, I would be soo happy if ANYTHING arrived. hahaha...

Anyways, I've been creating some Joy Fold Cards. You can get the tutorial off of Beate's website, but if you'd like for me to do a tutorial for here, let me know.... I've had several people ask me to do a tutorial on the Memo Pad Holder that I posted a couple of days ago. So, I'll be working on that. So here are my Joy Fold Cards...

This card was created for one of my customers. I used my Trio Bees stamp from Stampendous again, the doodle flower, ds paper and cs are all of SU!, and ribbon is from Walmart. After stamping them all, I wanted to add some glitter.... GF Ms. Dawn would be so proud of me!! (you like them sparkles?!) Tee hee...

As you can see... the doodle flower on the bottom left of the card is what is holding the card from opening. I love creating these type of cards, as they are simple to do, and yet it looks so complicated on the receiving end. I also found that I am using scraps for these cards. You can make them any size - but the card base for both my cards shown here are the standard 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. When you find out how to create one, you're going to totally love yourself, and want to make them over n' over again. I guess you could say I was in a "loving myself" moment yesterday. Here is the card open.

I made one more last night, just because I was in the "loving myself" moment. No reason for this card yet - but I could possibly use it for my wedding anniversary card to Charlie in September. We'll be making 13 years or loving n' cuddling! Oh My!!! That's almost as long as I've been stamping. Well... he's the one that actually got me into it, anyways. We were trying to find a hobby for ourselves... he was into collecting anything sports... cards, shoes, jerseys, etc., etc., I got hooked on Rubber Stamps!!! My girlfriend Bernee n' I (hi Bern!!!!), we used to stamp ALL NIGHT up at the Kamehameha School Girl's Dorms (she was a Dorm Advisor). Even tho' it was known that those buildings were haunted - we'd stay up all night. We've even had a few freaky moments, but Bern, she was so used to it - she was good at making us feel right at home, and taught us how to love all the spirits around us. Man, those were the good ol' nights.... All the fun things we found out about stamping, and the feelings we got ourselves. Felt like we were artist's, ya know?! Picasso or something.... always gooing n' ahhhing over what we made ourselves! haha....Learning new stuffs... EMBOSSING was our favorite!!! We would emboss EVERYTHING!!! I used only use glossy paper back then, and embossed every single image. It was better for me, because the colors would never run. MASKING... I had an envelope of stamped images, already cut and ready for masking. Oh the memories... now, Bern lives in Seattle with her hubby Danny & doggie Halo (they are also Chazz' God Parents), and stamping is just stamp... layer, coordinate colors. Simply Sweet. I hardly even take my enbossing gun out. I love it... but miss the good ol' ways of stamping too. I'll have to try that - just for ol' time sakes... Hmmm... maybe that could be a challenge?!

Well, as you can see - in between the blabbering I've done, I have posted my 2nd Joy fold card. The "bugs" stamp is from Whipper Snapper, "i love you" is an old stamp from somewhere, DS, CS and stamp on the bottom left is of SU!, Ribbon of Offray.

Thanks for popping by reading n' checking out what I've got.... have a great Monday!!!

Hugs n' Aloha,
Jen

My JT July RAK to Liann in Japan

For the month of July, I got Liann from Japan to RAK. Liann does not have a blog. But she does have an SCS Gallery, which is located here. Liann is a local girl from Hawaii, but currently resides in Japan with her hubby who is in the military. Awesome!!

Blog Sistah Of Inspiration

ALOHA!!!! Happy Saturday!!!

First off, thank you all for your warm well wishes for my journey into becoming a TAC Demo. It means so much to me to have all that support from you through my comments and emails. I am totally surrounded by loving stamping sisters!! You all rock!!!

I haven't done a "Blog Sistah of Inspiration" for a while now. I started this about a month ago, where I go and check out a website within my "Blog Sistahz" list, and just be inspired. Then I turn around, create something (somewhat close or similar) to my Blog Sistah of choice, then I share with you! =0)

With that being said.... my "Blog Sistah of Inspiration" is Kristine of "Ink Something". Her projects consists of a diversity of layers, and I just don't know how she does it. She's got an eye for creating awesome cards.... her color coordination is on key, and her cards are just way cool!!! So, go on, check out her site - look at her gallery in her side bar and you'll definitely know what I'm talking about. In the mean time - here is what I tried to do in recreating her creation. Ummm... I don't think it's nearly as cute as her's... but here it is. Hah! I made this post-it memo pad holder for one of my customers. This side of the holder (stamped with bird image) was inspired by Kristine's card which you can find here. What do you think? I don't think I've got what it takes to make creations as beautiful as Kristine's... but it was worth the try. I'm going to need a LOT of practice!!! Thanks Kristine, for sharing all of your creations with us - I totally love your style!! You are my "Blog Sistah Of Inspiration, Baby!!!".

Here are the last 2 sides of this memo pad holder.

Recipe: 1st Side shown: SU! DS Paper; Chiptopper fr Bazzill Basic Papers; Chocolate Organdy Ribbon from Offray. 2nd Side shown: DS Paper, CS and Corner Frame Chipboard - SU!; Stamp: Hero Arts (Mini Birds). 3rd Side Shown: "Smile" chiptopper fr Bazzill Basic Papers; DS Paper & CS - SU!; Bee stamp - Stampendous. 4th side shown: All products are of SU!, I painted the chipboard with green acrylic paint, let dry then stamped with doodle this stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you're having a wonderful Saturday!!

Submittal for Challenge #8

Hey All... this just in... a submittal by Maria. She's so creative that girl - I tell ya. She made her matchbook card the opposite of what everyone else did. She must be left brained! =0) Very cool!!! Thanks for participating Maria!!! Maria also has a challenge going on her blog - it is to create using lots of ribbons. If you want to give it a go, go check out her blog here, and challenge yourself!!!

Sweet Candi Pieces...... Oh My!!!!!

Have you seen my visit hit counter? Oh MY Goodness... 15.5K....already?! WOW!!! You are all so sweet to continue to visit me and read up on what's going on with me.

Before I go on I want to share with all of you some wonderful news of my own. I have been making some changes with my stamping businesses. Switched from an "on location" store, and went fully online - via eBay - known as "Cotton Candie Lane"... and now, another change.... I'm hanging up my coat with Stampin' Up!, and have decided to earn wings as an "Angel" with The Angel Company. Now before anybody starts freakin' out, I just wanna say - I love what Stampin' Up! has done for me, and my habit. They've made me crazier than what stamping n' scrapping has ever been in my life!!! But I believe that it's time for a change for me.... It took me a long time to decide on actually leaving SU!, because I really wanted to move to a company that offered great quality stamped images, and great accessories just as SU! does. But I wanted to spend less money. I started looking around, and did some research on other stamping companies, and I gotta tell ya, there is only a couple out there that I could compare to being as nearly as close to what Stampin' Up! offers. Then.... one day, while visiting Nancy's website - Inkcicles.... saw in her side bar that she was an Angel. I hit her up with an email, and asked if she could send me a catalog, which she graciously sent to me, 2 days later after receiving the catalog, Nancy n' I were on the phone... and my "Angel's Wings" were granted shortly there after. Making this change is going to be a great benefit for me and my family - as with SU! their requirement of $300/quarterly, I was just making it, but with TAC's requirement of $100/quarterly, I know I can definitely do that on my own. I'm so thrilled and am looking forward to this new journey..... I hope you all will continue to visit and see what new things I will have to share with you on this blog, as I am still the same lovable, crazy, fun and gorgeous person as I was last week before my decision - but just think of me with wings now..... and as I wait for my starter kit to arrive, I am once again anxiously waiting for new smelling stuffs to arrive (just as I did with SU!'s catalog) - and when it arrives, I will definitely share with all of you what I've got. If you're interested to hear more about the business part of TAC, please feel free to email me.

Now, to celebrate this awesome chapter in my life....let's say we get on with my Sweet Candi Pieces Giveaway!!! 15.5K hits - 200+ Posts (wow, I've got lots to say, huh?!). It's been a while since I've done a giveaway, I wanted to get some awesome stuffs to give away. Thus, here's what's leaving my art studio sometime soon....

In this pack of goodies, there's 10 Inspiration Sheets; 1 Cuttlebug Fancy Circles Mini Folders Set, Making Memories Charms - Friends; Making Memories eyelet charms - Snowflakes; 1 set of Queen & Company embellishments (trios, brads, charms, beads and sprinkles), 1 Darcie's Country Folk cute bear holding a balloon stamp, and 1 set of American Crafts ribbon.

Here's what you need to do for a chance to win these goodies..... leave me a comment here, and tell me what is your favorite color combo. I will randomly choose a winner on Tuesday, July 31st, by using random.org, and announce the winner on the next day.

Good Luck & Have a Great Weekend!!!

Aloha,
Jen

Daily Video and Photo....

It's been awhile.... but I finally got a chance to video something worthwhile. If you have never seen a 2 year old use chopsticks... here's your chance.

The photo is of me contemplating something....

Pidgin Word Of The Week....

Aloha All....

I'm a little late on the Pidgin word of the week, this week. I didn't want to bombard you all with sooo many postings. So here I am, on a Wednesday with the Pidgin word of the week.

For this week.... the word is:

"Whatevahs".... This is a very handy word. It can be used to mean almost anything. For instance:

  • I don't want to talk about it:
Carol: "Wow, Debbie! Yo' date one hour late! What you going do if he no show up?".....
Lani: "Whatevahs!"

  • I don't know/It doesn't matter:
Ben: "What we going do tonight, David?"
David: "Whatevahs!"

  • I'm crazy about you!!!:
Ralph: "What movie you like see tomorrow, Laurie?"
Laurie: (giggling n' being all giddy....) *sigh* "Whatevahs...."

Now's it's your turn... do whatevahs with the word "whatevahs", and I wanna see whatevah you can come up with.

Pau!
Jen

a RAK from Cheryl Sims

This very special RAK is the very 1st RAK that I've received through the JT's Monthly Aloha RAK Club. I received this card from Cheryl Sims. I got this card a while ago, but wanted to hold off from showing it off, cause I wanted to cherish it on my own for a little longer. It's a very sweet and meaningful card. As you can see.... the sentiment says, "You are as unique as a sea shell".... that's something sweet, I tell ya!! Thank you Cheryl for this darling RAK. August is right around the corner... I will have a sign up post posted shortly. Did anyone NOT receive their RAK yet for the month of July?! Hope you all did - but if you didn't, please let me know....

Aloha,
Jen

A Lovely RAK from Rita

This Lovely RAK came from Rita of Rita's Little Corner. How very elegant and sweet, ain't it?! I just love how "aloha" this card is. Thanks for this sweet gesture, Rita!! I totally love it!!! She also sent me a hand bookmark - see that "aloha" stamp on the top page of my card creations vol. 5 magazine? Sizzlin'.... Thanks Ms. Rita - you're so lovely to have sent these!!!

Some Sweet Lovin' From Corie

Corie sent me this gorgeously created card of hers. I love how she uses Baroque Motif, and the color choices that she makes, they go splendidly together. If you've never been to Corie's site, go on and check it out - she a sweetheart and it shows both in her creations and her comments left here.

Thanks Sweetie!!!

Good Morning Wednesday....

I'm going to toot some horns today, because I want to share how happy I am about my Sister - Nash (pronounced like "Josh" but with an "N" instead), and my Sister In Law - Karen. But first, a creation by me.....

Here is a really simply-di-doo card, which I basically used ds paper and 1 stamp to put together. Added some hardware brads, and a makin' memory charm. The ink I used for the flowers is white craft ink. It has a rustic feel to it, doesn't it? I totally love tearing paper, and having that torn look on my card. It gets the roughness out of me.... roar!!!

Now on to tooting those horns..... first off... on my sister Nash. She lives in Sacramento, Cali and owns a store there, called "The Hidden Treasure Shop" (you can click on the site to enter and view some of her items). Her store has tons of products and furnitures that have been imported. She also has some of my crafty cards on hand to show off. She recently received her license as a "Certified Mas sues" (sp?) and is now giving massages at $70 for a 1-1/2 hour session. Although she has owned the store for about 8 years now, I am so proud of her that she is venturing into a new chapter of her life, and starting something spiritually endearing to her. So hey, if you're ever in the Sacramento, Cali area, go check her out - get a massage, and let her know that you "know" me... she's going to throw in a $10 discount off of her massage, and you'll get to pick a card creation of mines for FREE!!! Need more info? Email me....

The other horn that I'm tooting is my sister in-law, Karen. She is Charlie's 1/2 sister, and the eldest of 7 of them (Charlie being the youngest). Karen is the current President of the American Bar Association. She recently visited Dallas, TX. She has always been involved with improving the lives of our children in hopes to give them a better future in seeking educational paths that will help them lead our nation. Here, she writes a little about being in Dallas, "The Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers have developed an innovative program for at-risk children. The program, e-Mentoring, Esq. -- implemented in selected schools in the Dallas Independent School District -- connects lawyers with one or more students. The lawyers serve as mentors, encouraging their students to stay in school, study hard and consider college. Because of the time constraints with which we're all so familiar, this mentoring takes place online". Can you tell that this is one special lady?! And to think that she's my sister in-law....WOW!!!! To read more and view more pics about her, click here: Karen J. Mathis.

I received some very pretty RAKs recently, so I'll be posting those later in the day. Hope you all have a great Wednesday!!! It's time for bed for me...

Hugs n' Aloha to all,
Jen

More Submittals for Challenge #8

I received 2 more submittals for this challenge. I'm so happy that there are tons of you that are loving this week's challenge. I totally enjoyed making this card, and I hope I can fit in some time to make more this week before the challenge is OVER!!!

Here is a card sent in by Est of Crafti-n-est. Ain't it so darling?! She even sewed on it... dang, I have yet to still accomplish that challenge!!! Est is from the UK, and I just love checking out the challenges that she chases. She totally writes in a different language too, and I can just hear her accent while reading her blog. You'll have to check out her pic in the sidebar, and read what she's written - cause it's the sweetest thing, only if you can imagine hearing the way she sounds. I digg that!!!

This next card was sent it by Jana. She is new to stamping and has been stopping by lately to check out what we've all got, and has been inspired to create, and challenge herself. I'm so proud of her!!! Keep going Jana, just keep doing these challenges, and you will be surprise at what you've got up your sleeves!!! She used the "Thanks" from the Cricut Cartridge "George Fonts".... so cute!!!

Maria's & Beate's Challenge

It's been a while since I've been able to do some crafting. I finally had some time today to try out Maria's TIC Challenge from last week Tuesday - which I was to create a "scrappy card". Adding the photo makes it very scrappy!! I think I'm late....but anyways, I also incorporated Beate's challenge using her sketch that can be found here.....it was a perfect combo.

Here is my card.... The flowers were embossed and cut out. I used one of the newest CB mini embossing folders that I recently got, then added a Hero Art bling for middle. Have you noticed that I'm trying to make use of my blings at every chance that I've got?! I embossed my card base with CB's "Swirls" embossing folder. The foxy ladies in the photo is your's truly, and my GF Terry. That was back in the days of clubbing - and when I had eye brows. =0)

Card Info: CB: Swirls, Flowers; CS - Stampin' Up!; DS Paper - 3 Bugs; Charm - Making Memories, Blings - HA

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Hugs n' Aloha,
Jen

Submittals for Challenge #8

Wow... once again, there are gals that are just on the ball when I post up these challenges. Here are what I've gotten in so far....

This one is on the right is from Jodene (adisneyfreak on SCS). Jodene doesn't have a blog, but she has a gallery filled with plenty of challenges that she's constantly chasing. This time, my challenge was one that she chased down and conquered! Way to go, Jo! (BTW Jo - Flossie's Looking For Ya!!)

This one is submitted by Ms. Flossie. Love her blue blue blue of everything and then a jade bird. I love that bird too. How cute!! This card looks cheery, and just gives you something to smile about, don't cha think?!

Lookie what the cat brought in... or in this case, lookie what brought in the cat. A very sexy looking matchbook card. Malieta has challenged herself to create at LEAST 3 challenges per week. You go girl!!! I'm tickled that mines is one of the challenges she's choosen.... her cat is sleek, with sexy green glittered eyes, and pretty flowers that she used to accent. Here is her card.

Challenge #8

It's time for a new challenge. I'm changing this challenge up a bit. Instead of a sketch to follow, I am challenging you all to create this type of card - it's a matchbook type of card. You can use any sized card, but it must be a matchbook type. I didn't do a layout, because I thought a photo of my sample would be a whole lot easier to understand. Besides, I have no idea how'd I create this on my "drawing" program.

Here is my card. The base of was card is 4-1/4 x 9-1/4. I scored at 4-1/4 and 8-1/2. Stapled the bottom part of my matchbook card, covered the flap with ds paper, and then wrapped a green grosgrain ribbon around that flap. Added a layer of ds paper to my main flap, then added queen bee image, and then my sentiment.

Now it's your turn. Remember, it isn't the sketch that you're following for this challenge. You are to create a "matchbook" type of card. Your submittal is due next week Saturday, as long as I get it before I check my computer Sunday morning. A winner will be randomly selected, and announced on Sunday. The winner will receive some Queen & Company brads... along with 6 SU! Inspiration Sheets.

Now, I'm off to bed.... some of you are already getting up to go to work...but I'm just heading to bed. =0)

Card Info: CS & DS - Stampin' Up!; Ribbon - Walmart; Bee Stamp - Stampendous; Sentiment Stamp - Hero Arts

Hugs to all....
Jen

Here is Kim's submittal:
I used random.org to randomly chose the winner. Congrats to you, Kimmie - please send me your addy, so that I can mail out your goodies!!

Thank you all, once again for playin! I love how everyone is coming up with different creations. You are all awesome creators!!!
Stay tune for Challenge #8!!!

NEW Cuttlebug & Cricut CHA Products!!!

Ladies... it's CHA time!!! And Cuttlebug and Cricut has come out with some very cool stuffs!!! I already placed my order, but looks like I'll have to be placing another order soon - if there are interested ladies out there. They came out with new embossing folders - mostly Disney type ones - oh those in love with Mickey n' his friends will be very happy. I totally love the Tinkerbell one - that's why I had to show it to ya!!! - down there.....). New die cuts.... a new mini machine (off to the left - up there ^ ) - it's made for kids, called the "Cuttlekids"...so that we can introduce crafting to our children "the fun n' cute way".... but it looks like Sizzix's
Sidekick, doesn't it?! Because I didn't attend CHA this year, I can only gather info from what I've seen on their web. They also have new die cuts for their new "Cuttlekids" (see lamb to the right), but I'm thinking that it's the same size as their 2x2 dies. Well, I ordered some **new** products so that I could check it out for myself and for my customers before they decide on what to get. But if you can't wait - head on over to their website, and you'll see for yourself! They have a new storage folder system for their embossing folders, t0o!! Oh and another thing - new "combo cuts" (pearl frame pictured here), it's a combo of cuttin' n' embossin' - oh my!!... very cute... but once again, mostly Disney stuffs.... On the Cricut side... there are 2 new cartridges, again, Disney... and they also have some new paper pads, and get this Vinyl!!

Shall I place another order?!

This one came from my homey, Allison... she's over at Stampin' When I Can... and I'm totally thrilled that when she could, she stamped using my sketch! How sweet!! Love the Bees... these are one of my favorite stamps since seeing them on Beate's site.

Good Morning Wednesday.... Wednesday is the day I head over to mom n' dad so they can have a lil' play time with Cyrus. It works out for me too, cause that's when I get to "get away" from home, and just kick back over there. But the deal is... no crafts...no nothing, but my laptop. Maybe I can sneak away for a manicure and pedicure. We'll see....

Anyways... here's what's in this morning for SC #7....

Here's a card made by Tracy of Tracy's Happy Place - she's a happy sistah, and here's her beautiful card!!!

This one is an adorable one made by my Sistah Teri. This is her first challenge, sisters!!! You'll all need to go on over and let her know how cute this card is, cause we want her doing more!!!! She's got some great stuff up her sleeves, but it's always how she can find the time to do them, cause if you all know her - she is "Wonda Woman" in her house.

Kimberly of Crafty Me has submitted this card which she made for her dad. So cool!!! I'm sure he's going to love this card, it's so cute!!!
Here's "Aunty" Flossie's cards.... she couldn't decide wether to have the ribbon on her card or not. So, I'm posting both. Please go on over to her site, and let her know which one you like. She'd love to hear your thoughts n' comments! I love spots, so for me, the more the merrier!!!!

It's Monday afternoon..... about 3:30 p.m. Just in....another submittal, this time, it's one from Delfina. Very cute card. That's right sisters, you don't have to follow the size of the card.... the sketch goes with any card....square, rectangle.... that's proof right here!!!

Good Morning Monday.... **yawn**

Hope all is recovering well from all those weekend parties.... got some artist's that are already jumping on doing my sketch challenge #7, and here they are....

She's a challenge chaser, and loves to do all the challenges out there.
A new blog sistah of mines has decided to join the challenge. She's also fairly new to the blogging world, so I'm thrilled that she has decided to try out my sketch challenge this week. Anne Marie of Rest and Be Thankful has submitted her beautiful card this morning. Please go on over and say "aloha" to Anne Marie. Check out her stuff, she's got some elegant creations there, and welcome her to the blogging world while you're there.

Happy Aloha Friday!!!!

Good Morning Sweet Peas.....

So, yesterday - I didn't get to do any crafting. But I do have a page to share, after this update on what happened yesterday. I went to my mom's. Took some before n' after photos of her fishbowl. She was curious about what I was doing, and asked "why are you taking pictures?". I then got into the story about telling her how I "journal" each day, and share with others. WOW! Mom's face lit up, she was excited to hear more about it. So, we chatted n' chatted n' chatted.... it was a good thing that my sister called, and cancelled our lunch, because she was able to find someone else to take her to get her car out of the shop. It was a good thing, cause I had a great time telling mom about this blogging thing. Next time I go over, I need to show her what I'm talking about.... she thinks it's "neat". Oh boy....when she sees it, she's going to trip out, and see how crazy I am, huh?!

OK, so here's the fishbowl... this was it when I first started to work on it. Clean, nice, crack, eh? (oh! that sounds nasty!) .... moving on.... that foot to the left is Chazzy's left foot. hahahha!!!

Then I applied my tacky glue...and stuck the piece back on.... you can see inside the glue track.... oh, and there's Chazzy's leg! Oh my! He was super duper handy helper.... tee hee...

Take a look at the insides after I glued the piece together. Looks kinda gross right now, huh?! But not to fear.....

Tacky Glue dries quick n' CLEAR!!! Here it is almost completely dry. You can still see some wet spots, but most of it is dried, and quite firm!!! Now it looks brand new - unless you get close up to it.

Tada!!!! My mom is very happy with the results.

I want to get back into scrapping, and at least complete 1 page per week. I know, it's a far stretch for me, but if I set a goal, hopefully I'll be able to stick to it. That means sleeping later at night, and waking up earlier during the days. WOW! Not sure I can do it.... but it's going to be fun. I know some people think (and I'm not talking about you, my ladies), "lucky you don't work..." hah! if they only knew.... all I can say is being a Stay at Home or Work at Home Mom is NUTZ!!! I totally enjoy that I can spend time with my kids, I love them and would do anything for them. It is the other tasks involved that makes the day crazy. And all you SAHM/WAHM nodding yo' heads right now... and you all agree with me, don't cha?! "So why don't you go back to work then?" some might say.... aha.... got you again, I AM working.... 24/7 baby.... yep 24/7 .... that goes for retired ladies too.... these ladies did their time... and now it's time to relax. So, all you retiree's out there.... when you hear the "lucky you no work" line.... you can say, "I've worked longer than you've been alive, sweetheart".... hahaha.... I love all my retired ladies.... I call them my "LOL", which stands for "Ladies of Leisure", yea, and they deserve to be in leisure - and some of them probably did work longer than I've been alive... so sweet though - they all make great "Aunties" for my kids... cause when I scold the kids in front of them, they'd be like, "good girl - you have to do that"... but if I scolded my kids in front of my friends that are closer to age (and no kids), those friends would be like...."Jen, you're so mean...". Too funny!!! You know I love all of ya, LOL's!!

So, here is the 1st page of this "12 years of memories" album I started. I started it towards the ending of 2006... and am focusing on years when Charlie and I were first dating - starting back in 1994 through 2006 when we've already had Cyrus.

Info: DS Paper & Cardstock - Bazzill Basic, Title Font is 2 Peas; "Youngs" is QK die cuts, circles were hand cut by me. I don't think I had the Cricut when I first created this page....

Have a good Aloha Friday all...

Much Hugs,
Jen

I Found My Card....

I found it... first off, it was face down, and in between some invoices. Now, how in the world was I supposed to find that one? If it wasn't for one of the "Aunties" coming over yesterday and buying some stuffs, I would've never found it. When I went to grab my invoice book....whala! This fell out:

It's a good thing too, cause I have to mail this one out to one of those people on my "to-do" list over in the sidebar... oh yea, and BTW - if you have stuffs coming from me (like winnings, or stuffs I've promised you), if you'd like to know the "status" on it.... just check my sidebar, under my "To Do List", and you will see whether I've done it or not. I try to update the list weekly..... but, you all know how it is.... can only do what you can only do. hahhaa...

Card Info: Frame Die Cut - Sizzlits; CS, Inks, "celebrate", "dots n' flower" and "U" stamps, ribbon are all Stampin' Up! products; used my mini scallop scissors to cut the edge, the heart is a die cut from Cricut's cartridge "George Fonts" (this came with my 1st Cricut - and I TOTALLY love it!!!!), and I am using my layout from this week's sketch challenge #7....

Today, I am heading to my mom's again... "Why?" you ask, or maybe you're even thinking, "fricken Jen, always letting her mom watch her kid".... hahaha, unfortunately I don't take advantage of my mom THAT much - although the thought has crossed my mind several times...snicker, snicker.... but really - I'm going over there this morning, because my beloved Cyrus.... get this... he CRACKED her GIANT FISH BOWL... you know, those HUGE Chinese Bowls?! Ok here - I got a picture from the web of what it is.... yea... these are fricken expensive!!!! It cracked... he accidentally cracked it when he moved it to go behind to grab a switch that turns on the light attached to my mom's cabinet of ceramics. When he got out of the way, the fish bowl then wobbled back, and hit the wall, and right there, an entire piece just cracked off. Well... I'm going over to fix it...with what?! Don't laugh now.... I'm taking my "TACKY GLUE" and going to glue the piece together!!! I think the tacky glue is pretty strong. So, tell ya what - when I go over, I'll take a picture of the broken bowl before it is glued together - and after.

After my mom's - I'm heading to my sister's workplace - we're going to lunch. No, not a sit down in a restaurant kinda lunch, more like pick up from a drive thru, then go to the park and sit in the car and eat. But, before that, we're going to get her car from the shop. Ok now, hopefully, when I'm at mom's she'll say to just leave the boys while I go to my sisters. Hahaha... now that's the part of me that wants to take advantage of my mom. You'll find out later if it does or doesn't happen. She might already have plans....

I'd like to also mention that my girlfriend Teri the one with the Big Ideas is doing a Blog Candy giveaway... she's got some pretty things to give away. They are the best kine, since they are all made by her!!! So, go on, enter her contest...and "Try Win!".

I'd also like to say that I've been visiting everyone's site, and I try to do it on a daily basis. Gosh, this takes up hours, don't ya agree?! But I totally enjoy visiting and commenting on all of your sites. You all do great work.... color combo's, your layouts.... and what you blog about. It really makes me feel like I "know" all of you through your blogs. So, keep up the great work, and keep on inspiring, cause when you inspire - I'm inspired too!!!!

The "Bitch Session" post was a "HIT" yesterday. You all had sooo much to get off of your chest - and wasn't it well worth relieving?! Shall I have a "Bitch Session" weekly challenge?! hahaha... no, seriously, it felt good, huh?! Once in a while, we've just gotta break out and bitch about things. I'm sure glad that there are plenty of bitches in us all. We share a very sweet bond, don't we?!

I hope everyone has a good day today.... it's ALMOST Friday... hang in there!!!

Hugs n' Aloha,

Cuttlebug Order n' Sale

Ladies... (Sorry - USA Only)... check out my www.littlecs808.blogspot.com for info on my Cuttlebug order that I'm placing this weekend.

Much Thanks!
Jen

Bitch Session....

Ok... this post is about bitching. hahaha... ok, let's get to the point....

First... who the heck is this "J" person posting to our blogs and trying to redirect us to theirs? I know it's not a person I know, cause the comment says "check out the site I told you about" - which is lame, cause she/he should just email it to me (so that it can go into my SPAM folder instead). I know that if I put the "word verification" set to "on" that it will make it difficult for this person or "robot" to post to my blog. But I don't want to make another step for my sisters. Well...

Second... if you've had MSN and Microsoft Explorer for your browser.... you probably have had some problems recently. ARGH!! I finally gave up, and have downloaded "Firefox" - so far, so good. I'm happy with it....for now.

Third....I made a card last night, finished it around 11 p.m....left it on the table that I was working on, went to get it this morning to take a picture.... and its NOT THERE?!?! What the heck?!?! Have I lost my marbles?! I can't find it! Ok when I do, I'll let ya know where I actually left it (cause I can't blame anyone but myself, cause I was the only one awake at that time, and the 1st one to wake up this morning - besides daddy). That sucks, doesn't it?!

Well, I'm heading to my mom's today, taking my laptop with me, but it's too bad I can't take craft stuffs there too. I'm going to try and sneak some time in to create before I leave for mom's. But we'll see....

So, since this is a bitch session - please feel free to leave a bitchin' comment here.

Can't wait to hear what you're bitchin' about today!

{{{hugs}}}
Jen

I'm a Rockin' Girl Blogger!!!

Yea!!! How cool is this?! Well.... I have been nominated by 3 lovelies....Flossie , Allison and Tracy .... as a "Rockin' Girl Blogger". Thanks ladies for nominating me - it's such a cool "badge" to have. Totally cool. I understand that I am to proudly "wear" this badge in my sidebar, and then to nominate 5 others.....so here are my 5 RGB's (in no particular order):

Dawn: I would NOT be surprised if this girlfriend is already nominated. She is totally a Rockin' Girl Blogger. Dawn has been one of the very 1st blogs that I was drawn to, and am still sucked in when I get to her site. She has something to post every single day.... I just don't know how she does it. Well, actually I do... it's with a big heart for the love of doing it. Right, Dawn?! I love her trademark *wink wink*... it's addicting, and I even love to use it. Love your stuffs, Sweetie!!!

Maria: She is an amazing blogger. She runs 2 blogs simultaneously, and all the while keeping up with things with her family and housework. She does a great job, and I'm totally proud of her!!!

Teri: My Sistah Teri is actually just a girlfriend of mines. A lot of people (blog readers - that have never seen us before) have asked several times if we were "real sisters" or assumes that we are. We really are just good friends, and stampin' sisters, that bounce off energy and ideas off of each other. Teri is also my SU! upline. Even thought I know that Teri doesn't have a whole lot of time to blog, when she does - she's got plenty of great adorable ideas to offer, and I totally agree that she ROCKS!!!

Adrian: Adrian's a real crack up. I get a kick out of her postings, and love to read about her crazy life. Cause it's just as crazy as mines! Although she's new to blogging, she's coming along pretty well. Therefore, she is rockin' on over.....

Valorie: This girl is just on it. Love her stuff, love her blogging.

Pidgin Word Of The Week...Daily Video & Photo

My Daily Video and Photo are up! I have combined it together with my "Pidgin Word of The Week".

The Pidgin Word Of The Week is actually an expression we say here, and it is..... "Fo' Real"

***Please click on today's Daily Video in my side bar for a "hear" and "see" version of this posting.....(for RSS readers: you can't access the video through your reader, therefore, please visit website to view this).

Word: "Fo' Real"

Pronounced: Fo' REEL

Meaning: This expression can mean several things.....for example:

1. Agreement: "You Can Say That Again" or ...."um-hmm....FO' REAL!"

2. Threat: "I'm not kiding buster!" or....."You like lickin's fo' real?!"

and 3. Surpirse: "Are you kidding me?!" or.... "WOT!?!?!?! FO' REAL!?!??!!?!"

Sketch Challenge #7

7/18: ETA: My sample has been added.... scroll down to view.

Good Sunday Morning All....

I haven't picked a winner yet, cause I'm waiting for Chazz to get up so he can pull a name out of this bucket. While waiting, I figure I work on a sketch and get it posted. I haven't worked on a sample either... as usual. But getting the sketch out there is the 1st thing that I need to do anyways. So... here is the sketch for the week, sketch #7!

Deadline: Saturday, July 21st - just as long as it's in by the time I get up in the a.m.!

Randomly Picked Winner Wins: Q&C Embellishements.... 2 sets....

7/17: Here's my Sample:

Tracy's Challenge

Hey all... Tracy of Tracy's Happy Place has a challenge going on... it's to use the sketch on the left, and making it a masculine type card. Here's what I came up with. But before I go on, I just want to say that I'm not trying to promote drinking, nor am I stereo typing men to be "drinkers". My hubby drinks occasionally, and not in the house. I don't drink therefore, to me, this fits a masculine card (at least in my house).
Card Info: Ds & CS - Stampin' Up!; Duck Stamp - Whipper Snapper; Budlight Bottle - WWW; CB Embossing Folder: Spots n' Dots; Grosgrain Ribbon - SU! Chocolate; Font: Architect

Scapbook Challenge

Scrapbooking.... is anyone up for some scrapbooking fun? Do you scrap?! Have you thought of scrapping, but didn't have time, confidence or energy to do it?! I enjoy scrapping...especially being able to journal in them. But sometimes, cardmaking takes precidense over it. I want to find some time to fit in at least 1 scrap paged layout a week.... gosh... can I? Will anyone be interested in doing a "Scrap Challenge"..... or maybe I can just set a goal of having 1 day for scrapbooking. What do you think? Ok, leave me your thoughts n' comments, I wanna hear them.

ALOHA,
Jen

Daily Video & Photo Are Up!

Today's daily video consists of Chazz pulling a name out of a basket for my Sketch Challenge #6. However, in my video, I mistakenly say "Sketch Challenge #5". You will know that the winner did not enter in Sketch Challenge #5, therefore, this confirms that it is definitely for Sketch Challenge #6.
Oh... by the way, Cyrus wanted to pull a name as well - so for Sketch Challenge #6 - there are 2 winners!!! Here is a photo of the names written down before I threw them in the basket.

Ladies... please email me with your snail mail addy so I can get some goodies out to ya!!!

Today's photo is of me n' my prego GF Shelley. Note: My hair is down....ahhh!!!! Be sure to read the previous post to check out the card, envelope and scrapbook that I made for her!!!

Aloha!!!
Jen

The Baby Shower Card, Envelope....and Scrapbook!!!

How's everyone's Sweet Sunday....ok.... so yesterday - Saturday 7/14, it was the baby shower of one of my GF's. Her name is Shelley. She's going to be a 1st time mommy, and she's having a lil' boy, whom she is going to name Joshua. How cool is that? Why? Well... her 1st 2 letters of her name is "SH", and her hubby's 1st 2 letters of his name is "JO", which makes up the 1st 4 letters of their baby's name.... added 2 more letters to make it his "own", and it's "Joshua". I'm not sure if this is the reason why they are naming their baby this - but it's something that popped into my corny mind.

Let's talk about what I made for this GF of mines. Of course, I made her a card. I choose a Prego-Bella to make her card. Yea, I know, it's a Baby Shower, that maybe I should'ah made a card with a baby thingy on it... but really... aren't we celebrating the pregnancy of mama right now?! When baby arrives, I will make a baby card just for him, just like I did for my niece Eilinah! =0) So here it is.... my prego-bella card.

I used my blings again, and totally loved using them. My sentiment "sparkle" is an SU! stamp from the "Warm Words" set. The word "sparkle" totally matches how Shelley looks being prego. I used a this sketch found on Di Hickman's website for the layout. (Thanks to my newest blog sista Ana for the tip on Di's site). The white dots.... do you know what I used? Did you guess my White Uni-ball Gel Pen? If you did.... you are wrong!!! You know, I used to love using that White Uni-ball Gel Pen. When I first got it - it worked just fine. I think I used it less than 5 times, and by the time I tried to use it again, hello!?!?!? NOTHING!!! (Shall I do another video about "NOTHING" again?). Well... then I got this idea from the nail salon. When I go to get my nails done, and prettied up - the gal puts these cute lil' flowers on them. Do you know how she does it?! She uses acrylic paint, but dipping a stylus into a lil' paint and then presses it unto my nail. The stylus that she has looks exactly like the stylus found in craft stores (only thing, her stylus is pink, and it has some kinda nail label on it). So I thought that I would do the same with my dots. And it works. Now, I'm never going to buy another White Uni-ball Gel Pen again....I have a full bottle of white acrylic paint to use, and a purchase of a small acrylic paint bottle, plus the stylus tool is just as much as the uni-ball pen, but I am going to get a WHOLE LOT MORE out of this bottle. Yay!!! Oh, and drying time isn't that long either.......

Well, because my card was an odd shaped size (4x6), I didn't have an envelope on hand that would fit it. So, I made a custom envelope for this card, using my 5-in-1 envelope shown here.

Once again, I totally made use of my blings. Put them on my prego mama's hat, her high waist, and her purse. This prego mama is a die cut from my Cricut cartridge called "New Arrival". All cardstock and ds paper are of SU!.

2 days before the shower, I was debating if I should just give a card with money in it. Then Friday arrived, 1 day BEFORE the shower, I decided that I was going to make her a 20 page scrapbook. Yes....remember? I was trying to decide if I will do it or not?! Well..... I did.... all day Friday, I took my time, cause I was just not "into" doing it - just yet. Then at 6 p.m., while the sun was near the horizon, I thought, "holy s***.... I better hurry up!!!!". Sistahz.... the wheels were NOT turning AT AL, NOT ONE BIT.... at least not YET. Then it hit me.... I think it was about 10 p.m., that I got hit the head, real hard.... and that's how it all started....

Here are photos of my prego GF Shelley, showing my card, envelope and scrapbook to the rest of the ladies...

Ok... and here's a slide of the scrapbook that I've made. All of the die cuts were made using my cricut cartridges "New Arrival", "Mini Mongrams" and "George Fonts". I also used chiptoppers from Bazzill Basics on some pages, 1 Stampin' Up! stamp from the retired "Riveting" set (the stamp that says "Welcome Little One". This is a 8 x 8 album. I must say that am so happy that I have this Cricut Expression, cause I would've never been able to make die cuts over 5-1/2" on the 1st Cricut I owned, and there were several large cuts that I used in this book...large scallop square on cover is 8", large scallop circle on the elephant page is cut at 7-3/4", large heart is cut at 7-1/2". I went to bed at 1 a.m. Friday, (or rather Saturday a.m.) got up at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, and completed the book by 9:30 a.m. All Cardstock are Stampin' Up!, ds papers are DCVW and 3 Bugs. How'd I do it in such little time? First, I cut out the die cuts that I wanted to use, then I worked on the layout of each page, and then went back and added ribbon. Gotta tell ya, it was the best 6 hour rush of adrenaline I've had yet.....

Have an awesome Sunday!!! See ya all tomorrow...with a **NEW** pidgin word of the week.

Submittals for Sketch Challenge #6

Good Morning Sunday....

Thus submittal is very late, but you know me - I'm not going to deny anyone to show their artwork here. I love posting everyone's work. So... here it is. This was submitted by Esther of Crafti-n-est. She's from the UK. It's pretty interesting to see work from other countries, don't ya think? It's also a great feeling to know that people all over the world share the same passion as all of us.... love it!!!

Hey...sorry I'm late on this one... I was out all day - went to that Baby Shower...I'll be posting about that later. But before that, here is Ms. Maria's submittal. Maria runs 2 blogs. 1 blog called Stampin' Inspirations, and that other Card Inspired. The Stampin' Inspirations are filled with projects created using Stampin' Up! products, the other blog is projects created with all other companies other than SU!. Anyways, here is her submittal. You still have about 30 minutes to sbumit your creation if you haven't already done so. I will be pulling a name later tonight. (It's only 5:30 p.m. - Saturday, Hawaii Time here!!!). Aloha!!!

Check it out.... I received one more card for this sketch challenge. Christine (cmpbaker on SCS) made this card. She did a great job in changing the circle to a square. I initially wanted to do that with my sample, but the squares that I had around to use were too big!!! Love the simplicity of her card. And all those brads, huh?! How cute!!!

Good Aloha Friday Sistahz.... I received 1 more submittal this morning! It's from Cheryl of Engineered Expressions.... you've all got 1 more day to go to submit your work. I will randomly select a winner tomorrow night, and announce it on Sunday. But check out Cheryl's cute "Cupid" card.... gets me in the mood for some Valentine creations, huh?!

This one is sizzlin' hot... love the summer fun look of this card that my happy stampin' sister Tracy of Tracy's Happy Place has created. It's so dang sweet, don't cha think?!!

One more submittal...this time, this one is from Flossie of Flossie Gosh Hi-Tech....check out the wings on those bees... so shimmery!!

Aloha All.... check out this very cute card made by Cheryl of Mum on The Run. Ain't it cute?! I love how she reverted the sketch a little bit. Very adorable!!!

Good Morning Tuesday all!!!

I woke up to find this pretty submittal in my email. This was submitted by Tracy of The Stamping Princess. How cute is it? You can check out the details of this card by checking out her site.

What a pretty sweet card this one is. Nancy of Nancy's Creative Mess sent in this card. Love her silk flowers. It is so awesome how everyone comes up with such great ideas with just 1 sketch. On the 1st day too!!! I've NEVER had this much submittals on the 1st release day of my sketches. Thank you alll so much for playing!!! How cool!!!!

Man...these ladies are on a ROLL!!!! Here's a submittal from Delfina, I'm glad that she submitted her work, cause this is the first time I got to check out her blog. Her site is pretty cool, it has a mystical feeling to it. Go check it out, and let me know what you think!!!!

Here's another Holy Smoker... Michelle has submitted her work already, and I am STILL challenged by my own challenge!!!! hahaha... Ho man, I better get my butt into gear. I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling the heat tho'.... Corie, you're feeling it too, huh?!

Holy Smokes!!! Samm has already sent in her creation for this sketch challenge. I haven't even finish my sample yet - dang girl!!! Love it, thanks for playing!!! Here is her card. Samm is

Video & Photo is Up!

It's been a while... I know... and I've been bad on keeping it a "daily" video... so, I'm changing it to share "whenevah I can".

Today's video is of my lil' 2 year old vacuuming. I give an advice to all...so listen carefully, to hear over the loud rrrrroorrring sound.

Today's photo is of our lil' trip to Sea Life Park the other day. I will post about it later.

Question on my Videos.... do you all want me to keep it in my sidebar, or post in the blog itself?

For sure, I will post it in the blog if it pertains to anything crafty....

Also, if you have any suggestions as to what you'd like for me to capture, please post them here. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I have a baby shower to attend tomorrow....and I've still gotta work on a card and hopefully I can squeeze in a scrapbook (ahhhhh!!!!).... wish me luck. I'll post back later on what I do end up making.

Hugs,
Jen

Happy Aloha Friday The 13th All!!!

Baby Swaps - Finally Complete!!!

This swap was the longest I've ever done..... can't believe how long it took to take care of, and because we had 1 drop out, I was contemplating if I should be the fill in, or not. Well - I decided that I wasn't going to be the fill in, and just return everyone's extra one that they created. There were only 3 of us that swapped anyways. So here they are....

This one to the right was made by Jean of Stamping Spot Studio. She is a Close To My Heart Demo, and a friend of mines. She used CB Dies "Animals" and CB Mini Folder "Stitched Squares". This is such a sweet n' adorable card. Kinda looks like a quilt to me....

This one to the left was created by my friend Jodie. Jodie doesn't own a blog... but she's a devoted reader!! Hi Jodie...I know you're at your desk online reading this right now (hide!!!). She too has used embossing in her card. I love how she changed the embossed background on each CS, it really adds a great effect to her card.

These last 2 are mines. I too embossed my CS using CB's embossing folder "stylized flower". The scallop CS is the CS that you watched me cut out with my Cricut Exp the other day on that video I had posted. I made 2 different ones, 1 with the bear, and the other with the Giraffe...

Ok - I'm calling it a night... I'm off to take my shower...and then to play some more, since Cy is sleeping. I will be posting a tutorial on here tomorrow, using my Scor-Pal again.... a real easy one too!!! So come on back for that....

Hope y'all have a good night!

Hugs n' Aloha,

Jen

I've Been Quiet, Huh?!

I know... it's crazy for me too when I'm quiet. It was driving me up the walls, but I had to get stuffs done on my Little C's site. Ok, before we go on.... just a few things to mention to all of those that are interested.... I've added a Feedblitz subscription button on my Little C's site, so that if you'd like to receive an email update whenever I post updates on my inventory, and sales whenever I post. Just like on here. After awhile, I will stop posting updates about that site on this site.... just cause I don't want to mix the two, ya know? Anyways, I've also uploaded my inventory list on that site for Hero Arts, Penny Black, and Whipper Snapper, which I will no longer be carrying. I have also posted what I currently have in my Cuttlebug stock. After I sell these out - I will no longer carry a standing inventory, but will sell these on an "by order" basis. I've added a button to my LC's site to my sidebar for easy access.... so go and check it out.

Anyways, I need a break from that site..... I miss all my sisters on here!!! It's time that I get back into blogging n' creating!!! So, this one is for all of you... I have been seeing plenty of these ladybugs around. First with Paper Trey stamps, and then with Stampin' Up!'s Pick A Petal set. How cool is it to create a stickin' cute ladybug with the Pick A Petal set. That is way too cool!!! When I saw the ladybug made with SU!'s Pick A Petal...I was like..."wow"... and I saw it here, on Corie's website. I made sure that I too had to create one of these ladybugs...and I did!!!
Card Info: Size is 5-1/2 x 5-1/2; CS is Eggplant Envy & Regal Rose; Ribbon - Walmart; Ladybug is made with "Pick A Petal" SU! set, 3/4" circle punch, ink is Lavendar Lace and Certainly Celery. I also used my Sakura Gel Pens for dotting the scallops (which by the way was cut out the same way that I demonstrated on my video the other day, using my Cricut Exp...) oh, and I almost forgot...my CB Embossing Folder "Thanks"

Blog Sista Alert!!!!

Sisters.... this Blog Sista Alert is to inform all of you that one of my favorite Blog Sistahz, Maria Bell of Stampin' Inspirations & Card Inspired - has changed her blog address!!!! Alert Alert Alert!!! Please update your link to her, as it is now http://www.stampininspirations.blogspot.com/.

If you have her on your reader, you need to update it to the link I have just posted here, or you will NOT find her.....

Tagged Once More....

I have been tagged again, by 3 MORE lovely stampettas...Dawn, Malieta, and Teri. So here are 7 more fun things about me:

1. When I drink coffee in the morning, I realize that there is no need for brushing my teeth. Cause drinking coffee covers up my breath weather I did or didn't brush my teeth. Did I tell ya I started drinking coffee again?

2. I don't like to throw anything away! I always think that I'll be able to use it later, and it irks me to think that if I threw it away, I'll regret it.......

3. Connecting to #2....if I don't throw it away, I don't use it as much as I want to!!! What the heck?! That irks me too.... so why would I keep it, right?! Cause I don't wanna throw it away.....ahhh!!!!

4. At age 7, I found out, that if you fart in a bottle, and covered it up, it'll still stink 1 week later (I gave the bottle to my brother to open).

5. My hair used to be as long as down to my calves, then I cut it to my waist, and now it is right below my bra line. I have only been to the hair salon once, it wasn't to cut my hair, and it wasn't for my wedding.... my hair is in a bun 95% of the day, the 5% of the day it is down while I'm taking a shower.

6. I used to "paint with colors" big time when I was a little girl.... do they still make those books? I would love to get these for my Cyrus....

7. As a child, I remember being told that "Puff The Magic Dragon" was a song telling a story about smoking weed.... was anyone else told this story?

My Little C's In-Store....

As most of you all know, I am in the process of re-constructing my business, "Little C's". I have already shut down my online store, as it was a chore to maintain the inventory of items. Good News though, I've got products that I want to get out the door - I no longer want to stock products "in-store" - therefore I'm having a 50% sale on rubber stamps, ds paper, cardstock, and embellishments. The store will no longer be open every Friday and Saturday...I will be open by appointment only.

Therefore, I've started a blog so that my customers will at least know what I have in store, or when and what I will be ordering of products again. You can check it out here: Little C's - I will also put a link in my sidebar later today.

Mahalo!!!
Jen

Happy Hump Day!!!

Happy Wednesday All....

What a kick I had reading all of your comments yesterday on the "Pidgin Of The Word Week", can't believe how well all of the mainlanders did on this word!!! Then, all the sistahs down here came out, and took off their skins, and went buck-wild on the word. What a fun thing to read. Thanks for the laughs and belly jiggles you all gave me.

Yesterday, I didn't get a chance to visit anyone's blog, nor stamp til' the wee hours of the night. I took the boys out on a date, yesterday. We went to Dave n' Busters, played some games, then had lunch. It was so much fun, and just seeing their eyes light up, you know, that just melts my heart. When we got home, we hit the house chores, Chazz folded Cy's clean clothes, and I ironed Charlie's aloha shirts. What?! Iron?! Yes...remember that time I said I'd take his clothes to the dry cleaners? Well... $32 for 7 items.... 'nuff said. Before I knew it, Charlie was home, and I was cooking dinner!!!! Then when the family went to bed, my mind was scattered... what to do, what to do? Stamp? Scrap? It's been awhile since I've scrapped, and I totally want to get this album done that I've been working on for a long time now. Shame shame!!! But I opt to stamp instead.... I bought all these Hero Art blings, and now I want to use them. I have that set of SU! cardstock, and I want to make use of them. I'm sorta overwhelmed with all the crap I bought. hahaha - it's not even funny, but really it is. I'm going to have to force myself to use them all, and just go for it!!! Now that I have them... I always do this....what now? hahahaha.... what a nut case, huh?! So, this is the 1st chipboard that I used from the chipboard set I bought. I used a TON of blings on this card, cause it made me feel better that I put some of them to good use. But I don't know if I like my card. It seems "scattered" to me... maybe because that's exactly how I was feeling? hmmmm....

Pidgin Word Of The Week: "Da"

Hey All,

I've decided to move this element to my blog postings instead. For future references, I thought...how would I refer back to these words should I need them in the future?!.... or worse, how would YOU refer back to them?... =0)

If this is your 1st time reading this "Pidgin Word Of The Week Post" - Please read this post first.

The word of this week is "Da":

Pronounced: "da" (long but short "A", not "duh", but like the "da" in "soda")

There are 3 meanings for this word....

  • Meaning 1. "The"
  • Samples: English: "The little boy fell down" - Pidgin: "Da boy broke his head"

  • Meaning 2: "How "
  • Samples: English: "How Cute!" - Pidgin: "Oh, da cute!"

  • Meaning 3: "So "
  • Samples: English: "It's So Hot!" - Pidgin: "Oh, da hot!"
  • If you comment, please try to use the word "da" in your comments....I want a laugh.

    Have a good day all!!!

    Sketch Challenge #6

ETA: My Sample!!! Finally... scroll down to see what my sample looks like.....

Here's the sketch for this week..... I'll be working on my sample, and will post later. As you can see, I've decided to allow you to choose the place of a sentiment on this one.... and yes, that circle is going off the card. BTW - the shape that you use does not necessarily need to be the same shape as I've pictured here, like the circle could actually be a flower....or a huge square....Anyways... Good Luck and Have Fun!!!

    Here is my sample.........

    Deadline is Saturday, 7/14/07 - 6 p.m., Hawaii Time....

A Name will be randomly drawn on Saturday night, shortly after the deadline time....

Daily Video & Photo Are Up!

My daily video n' photo are up. The video is of a toast during yesterday's wedding (see previous post). The photo is of us Youngs at the wedding, and a friend's daughter. How's her face?! hahhaa....

    The Wedding....

Have you been waiting for this post?! I know, I wanted to post it last night, but I was toooooo pooped!!! So here are the pics. Yesterday was a beautiful day....the sun was brightly shining, there were no rain clouds in the sky.... beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!

The very first picture I took was this one of Diamond Head...the tip of it, as you can see here. It was peeking through some trees, and buildings, and I thought I was just gorgeous from where I was at. Had to get a shot of beautiful Diamond Head, wanted to show you how beautiful it really was!!!
Then had Chazz n' Charlie smile for me with Diamond Head in the background, and then had Chazz take a pic of Charlie n' I.

This is the center piece....it is very top heavy (can you tell?!). The lucky person that got to take it home was someone that had their birthday closes to yesterday's date. I was not the winner of this center piece, and I'm happy for that, cause it would've just been a dust collector here in my home. For my wedding - I had the center pieces designated for certain people for certain reasons. It was a good thing too, cause sometimes, at some of the weddings I've been to, some family members would just take the center pieces without even having consideration for the bride n' groom's wishes of whom they wanted it to go with. I tell ya....

Their favors were these cute tin hearts. Ok, you know the wheels in my head were turning when I saw these cute buggahs.... I made sure that I took all 3 of ours, and threw them into my purse right away!!!! I'll make something out of them and give them away...

Local weddings are HUGE. But if you think they are HUGE, 1st Birthday Parties here are even BIGGER. But... let me get back to talking about the wedding....this one was sooo cute.... when the bride n' groom walked in they did a little ballroom dancing for the invitees...and then the wedding court "judged" them like on "Dancing with the Stars"... the men all voted all "10's", while the ladies voted all "2's"... it was a cute joke for the bride n' groom.

The program consisted of lunch (of course), the groom's neice sang a song, they shared a slide show, cut the cake, and then the traditional bride n' groom's 1st dance. Only...this was traditional "local style".... well, more like the Filipino way (the bride is Filipino and groom is Japanese), but a lot of local families are picking up this traditional 1st dance. What this means is that while the bride n' groom are dancing, family and friends would go up to them, and placed money on their bodies... anywhere on their bodies, but mostly in their mouths - the person that has the money on their body has to pass it on to the other person with their mouths....e.g., if the money was placed in the bride's mouth, then she would pass it to the groom with her mouth - he would then drop it into a box that a friend or family member is usually carrying right next to them. OR, if the money was placed in the bride's dress (like right at the top), then the groom would take it using only his mouth, and then drop it into the box. It's sooo much fun to do, and I get a little kick outtah this.... cause I have plenty of **sweet** places I like to put the money at. Here is a picture I took after I placed the money somewhere on the groom's body... can you guess where?! {{{hint: it was below his waist}}}. As you can see from the pictures, the money can be placed in many places... also, there is no minimum or maximum amount of money that you can give - it's just something to wish the bride n' groom "Good Luck".

All in all, the boyz and I had a great time at the wedding. I met up with plenty of my former co-workers, and it was just a happy gathering. Cyrus stayed with my mom, and I am thankful that he did. He would've been running around stealing the show.... that's MY job! =0)

P.S. My Daily Video is up... it is a video of the toast done at the wedding. Thought I'd share that... the toast is a traditional Japanese style toast.... "Banzai" which can be clearly heard by your's truly... means "Cheers!!!".... Plenty of cheers to this beautiful couple... the groom has been one of my best friends since 12 years ago...I'm so happy for the BOTH of them!!!
    Aloha,
    Jen

Maria's Challenge - Extreme Make Over....

My Girl Maria, who writes "Card Inspired" and "Stampin' Inspiration" has been having a weekly challenge. I have been setting a goal to try and complete each one. Each week has been challenging and a whole lot of fun to do. This week's challenge was quite a challenge for me. She was watching "Extreme Make-Over", and got the idea of having an "Extreme Make-Over" challenge. What you need to do is take a previously made card, and change it up a bit. You could either add or remove elements, anything that would consider your card being changed. Well, the challenge for me was hard because I had to find a card that I've already made, and wanted to change up a bit. Sorry to be so vain.... but I love all my cards....hahaha... I didn't want to change any one of them. But then I came across this one.... it was actually a card I made at a retreat held by my up-upline (2 levels up). It's cute, yea, but it was a retreat for making 25 cards, so they had to do simple cards that would allow us to complete them quickly, and in a short amount of time. So, please don't get me wrong, I'm not dogging her idea at all..... I just needed a card that I could actually change up a bit, and just so happen this is the one I chose. So here is the card before I did the "Extreme Make-Over" on it...

As I was working on the card, I realized that I've made the right choice, because just yesterday - I went shopping at Fisher Hawaii, which by the way (island ladies) they have a sale currently going on for 15% off of Sizzix stuffs, anything Sizzix...and their stuffs are already marked down, so an additional 15% off probably came out about 40%-60% total. Anyways, I got a few Sizzix stuffs, but what caught my attention were these BIRDS that they had. It was their last set!!!Had to get them... couldn't pass them up. (What else is NEW?!?!). But it made me realize that I've made the right choice in cards to do the Extreme Make Over on, cause I could definitely re-use the sentiment. I don't have the SU! set used to make the above card, therefore, I didn't have the sentiment. I really wanted to keep it, and because I now can use my new bird stamp - the sentiment can be kept!!! Now to reveal my Extreme Make-Over Card.... here it is...
So what'd ya think?! I like.....
The wedding was GORGEOUS!!! I'll be posting on that later.
Have a good night.... I'm off to let Maria know that I've done her challenge again!!!
    Hugs to all....Jen

    Sizzix Sizzlit Chics

    Good Morning Saturday All....

Before I head out to the wedding today (nope, didn't find the invite - but I did find out where, when and why...hahah!), anyways - before I head out, I wanted to share a lil' something with ya....

About a month or so ago, I headed to J's Knicknacks and bought a bunch of Sizzlits die cuts of cute MAMBI girls!!! J's Knicknacks is a lil' store down in McCully, here on Oahu. It started out as a sports card store... how funny - cause 12 years ago, Charlie was into sports cards collecting, and he used to go to J's!! Now, J's also caters to crafty people, like me!!! So, I can go together with Charlie, and he can check out the sports cards, while I check out the eye candy, and spend his money!!! Oh, but Charlie doesn't come with me tho' - infact, Chazz and Cyrus are the ones that are taking an interest into the cards, but it's not sports cards they're interested in, it's those Pokemon cards. Uncle Cliff has taken a liking to his new nephews....he even let them eat some of his grapes that were in the fridge....well, I think Cyrus helped himself to it, and Uncle Cliff just said, "go"..... (so "make house" my kids). Anyways, the last time I was there - or was it the time before?...ok moving on.... I saw all these cute Sizzix Sizzlits of MAMBI galz. Of course I didn't pass them up. Cliff had them on sale for 20% off, off of his already discounted price. How am I supposed to feel if I went home and didn't get them? That would be a kick in my butt right?! hahaha... well, I bought them and adopted those girls as my own. At the time of the purchase, I already knew that I wanted to make luggage tags with these gals, and that's exactly what I did.

Because there are so many pieces to this die cut, I started out with the base color which was my skin tone color. I then cut scraps of paper and cardstock to use for die cutting the hair, clothing and sandals. I then cut out the pieces that I wanted. It was a tedidous but somewhat soothing thing to do. Cause in order to do a good job, I had to take my time, and relax. So, here they are after I did the piecing on the girl on the left, I decided that I was only going to piece the blouse on the girl on the right. I then colored in her pants, cell phone and purse. But it's a good thing, cause they are matching colors, right?!

Well, here is a photo of them after being laminated into a luggage tag. I know... kinda funky looking with those air pockets, huh? Well, I ran them through the laminating machine a couple of times, but those air pockets didn't go away. Anyhoos, as you can see, I made them for my Mama Wini and Sister Teri. I slipped the tags it into their bags of googies that I gave them the other day when they were here at my house. What a surprising treat, eh?! Did I just toot my horn?!

Ok, you all have a marvelous Saturday....will share pics of the wedding later. The weather looks BEAUTIFUL today.... we're going to have some pretty pictures. I gotta go and make breakfast for the clan, so will catch y'all later!!!

Oh! BTW - I found my digital camera....video's will be up tonight...or tomorrow (depending on your time zone). Where was it? In my car... in my "drag around bag" that I usually "drag around" with me that has my SU! Catalog n' SB mags, laptop and what?! my camera.....duh!!!
    Hugs to all,

    SCS Challenge and a RAK!

Here's a card that was made for all of the above reasons.... The first one is for a Sketch Challenge featured on SCS this past Wednesday (7/4). I didn't even go on SCS to get this sketch... infact, I got it off of Beate's blog, and she made a really cute card with it too - you can find her card here. So here is the layout that I used, and this is what I came up with. What do you think?!

As for the RAK, yes, someone out there is going to get this... but it isn't anyone that signed up for my "JT's Aloha RAK Club". So.... watch your mail boxes ladies..... this may just pop up in your's one day....soon!

    Have a GR-8 Weekend!!!

    Aloha,

    Jen

Card Info: DS Paper (left side) - Stampin' Up!; Zebra Stamp from SU!'s Zoofari; Lil' Tag n' Sentiment on tag - hand cut and written by me, Ribbon fr Walmart; "B" stamp is Hero Arts; DS paper (right side) is 3 Bugs in A Rug.

    Change Again....

Happy Aloha Friday, Sisters.... I'm totally late with this posting, and I apologize. First off... I changed the color combo of my site again. Thought something a lot brighter would be a resemblance of Summer better. The last color combo I had seemed pretty "dark" and more for the "fall".... anyways, hope you all like this one better.

Second... I can't find my dang digital camera!!! I've looked everywhere in this house... I swear, and I can't seem to locate it! It's driving me NUTS!!! I bet cha it's probably somewhere, yelling out, "here I am, at the bottom of this pile....". But that's just it - there isn't any pile (anymore). Ahhhh!!! It's a good thing that I have my Canon Rebel. Oh but what is junk about this camera, is that I can't do any video clips. So.... no video of the day for me. Sorry if you had come by hoping to see another "Aloha Friday" clip of me.... I was bummed out too.

Oh well.. that's why I was MIA today.... I did do some projects, and I will be uploading them in a few minutes. So, come on back and see what I've got. Hope you're all having a grand Friday night (I'm sure it's the middle of the night for some places!).

    Submittals for Sketch Challenge #5

Happy Saturday Sisters... today's the deadline for this challenge... and I've got one more person that has submitted her artwork. Cool!!! Deanna of In With The Old PP has sent in this card.

    Happy Aloha Friday!!!

Here are more submittals for this challenge. Look what Tracy of Tracy's Happy Place has submitted. It's so darn cute....the penguin on the surfboard is having a ball riding on all those "swirls"....love her color combo too!!!

This card here was submitted by Eleanor of Twinspire. This is Eleanor's 1st challenge EVER!!!! I'm honored!! How cool..... So, give her some cheers, y'all - her card is adorable! Makes me wanna work on some baby cards myself!!! Thanks for submitting your work, Eleanor!

This one here is from Ms. Corie of Creations by Corie. She did an awesome job on this card...the band on the left is NOT a DS paper... it's actually her scraps of paper that she weaved together. Oh my!!! She took some time to do this one, and I totally love the colors that she's choosen!!

Good Thursday Morning All, look what was submitted into this challenge today... a touch of Dawn's artwork. Isn't this crabby pants card too cute?! Look at them, they are holding hands (claws)!!!! Too adorable. Doesn't it look like she cut them out?! Well, for more details on her card, just go and check her site out. Everyone so far that has submitted their beautiful work of art are listed within my "Blog Sistahz" list located in my sidebar. So, you will find Dawn there too!!!

Here is a submittal sent in by Kimberly of Crafty Me. I totally love how she used her bella in this layout. I love my bellas. I love looking at new ideas for my bellas - and I'm totally diggin' whatever bellas there are out there. Love how she coordianted Bella's outfit to her ds paper..... "singing in the rain"....

Wow!!! This just in... Michelle over at "Come Stamp With Me" is on a roll, and has completed my sketch challenge #5! How cool!!! Here is her submittal... I love the color that she's choosed, and totally loved that she turned the card on it's side.

Submittals for "Fashion Challenge" (10K Hits Candi Giveaway)

Hey Sisters, this morning, I got up to find a submittal for this challenge. Yes, yes, I do know indeed that I have already choosen the winner of this challenge - but my bestest Alaskan friend sent in this card that she made. Nancy of Inkcikles (such a fitting title too, huh?!)....she knows that she was late, but such a sweetie, she sent it in anyways - and I just have to share it with all of you. First of all... how's the aloha print dress that she's got! Sistah has some aloha connection, ladies!!! She was here on Kauai for her honeymoon.... so, is her baby girl an "Aloha Baby"?! Well, you'll have to check out her site to find that out! In the meantime, check out this beauty!!!

    ETA: 7/3/07

How pretty this one is... Maria submitted this one, and to choose something to make with 2 totally different shadings, is just brilliant. But we all already know that Maria is a brilliant stampess.... very nice!! job well done, Maria!!!

    ETA: 6/30/07:

Cheryl of Engineered Expressions has made an adorable match with her card here. BTW - love that top girlie!!! Love the color, love the material!! I can tell it's my kinda top... She used spots in her card - and I'm a sucker for spots. So darn cute!!!

This one just in, from my sistah Jo over at Jus Scrap. So Aloha this one, and I just love it!!! Very pretty n' bright colors, and it just totally matches with the aloha shirt that she used. Thanks for playing Jo!!!

I have another submittal for this challenge! YAY!!! This one is from Corie of Creations By Corie. Love the colors, and Corie loves to use dimensionals, and I totally love when she uses them too!!! Her piece of wardrobe is the blazer that her card is sitting on. Very cute!!!

My oh My.... this is my 1st submittal, and quite a lovely one too, I must say. I didn't even think of using a purse for inspiration, but it is part of our wardrobe, right?! Love this card. Shannon K. submitted this card to me, and I was just smilin' cheek to cheek when I got it. It totally matches her purse, don't cha think?

The flower that she uses on her card actually looks like the exact same flower on her purse. I think that flower stamp is from an SU! Hostess set - can't figure out what set it is. Shannon K. does NOT have a blog site. Therefore - I am adding this photo into my "Creations By Friends" gallery. You can click on the photo to see an even larger photo. Thanks again Shannon K.!!

ETA: Shannon just email'd me with her card's details, here they are: "The set I used on that card was the sell-a-bration set "Best Blossoms" (its an older one, but I thought it was perfect!) I also used "A Much Appreciated" stamp set, for the thank you part. The colors were Bashful Blue, Close to Cocoa, PumkinPie and Old Olive. I also use Canvas background with So Saffron for the bottom!!

Sharing What We Did Yesterday - July 4th

Yesterday....we went to the beach on the North side of the island. This time, we went the Mililani way - it was good, cause I got to take pictures of that side of the island, without having to turn my back and take the picture, or stick my hand out and blindly snap the photo. The weather was kinda gloomy, but we still wanted to get out n' about. Our doggie Ehu (pronounced: "a who" short "a")... isn't she a pretty lady?!

I love this picture of Cyrus too - he's such a ham like his mommy!!!

So we get to "our spot" on the North Shore (I call it "our spot" cause this is the 2nd time that we've gone to the same spot, and it's a mighty sweet spot too!!). Anyways, when we get there, set up our tent and mats, snacks n' drinks... we're ready to go into the water... but as we're walking to the ocean...ahhhhh!!!! "Portuguese Man-Of-War!!!!".... they were all on the shoreline. Yucky!!! This is what it looks like.... And if you step on them, their tenticles (those dark blue stuffs) will sting ya!!!

So, we opt to play on the sand instead. We had a great time doing just that. Cause we were in each other's company. The air was nice n' breezy, and it was just relaxing to hang out. Everyone had a great time.

On the way home, I took some shots of the beauty that this island dishes out. I love this part of the island, it just seems so soothing. Don't you just love this photo? where the mountain is right there by the beach.

Then we drove towards China Man's Hat (it's an island). Have you heard of the story of this "hat" island?! Probably not. But let me just tell you breifly... the story goes... well, I don't really know the story. I only know parts of the Hawaiian Legend of "China Man's Hat".... basically, there was a China Man who was a fisherman.... and some how he was put under a spell - and went to sleep... that's where he's sleeping, his hat is at the top of the sea, and his body, beneath it....I'll have to check up on the story, and get back to you. But here is the photo of it. Are you interested yet? I am too....hahaha, I really need to find out now.

Anyways, it was a long ride home, Cyrus fell asleep. Ehu was still wide awake as ever!

When I got home, lookie what I found!!! My DH bought me a little gift...if you can't tell by the photo - it's a Circut Expression. It wasn't a gift for July 4th, he said it was a "Just Because"gift. What a spoiled brat I am. That is why I am very happy to be the only girl in the house. Hahaha... just kidding - I think he would spoil me just as much (maybe even more), if we had a little princess, huh?! Well, for now, Ehu is the only princess of this castle. I'll keep you all posted if I hear of any news of another princess.

Anyways, this morning, I got up, and set up a table for all of my machines....I found a spot in my store area, right next to the window. Very nice, and I love that when I open up the window, the sun comes in and brightens up the section. I'm so thrilled that I was also able to fit my swe machine on the table too. Now, I'll be able to sew on some cards.... I have been dying to try that technique out!!!

Hope you're having a good day. I'm off to check out your site now....

    Aloha,

    Jen

    Local Kine Wedding Card

How was everyone's 4th of July?! Hope you all celebrated with fun n' family!!!

This Saturday.... we're going to a wedding!!! So, I made something sweet n' simple for the bride n' groom. You can't see from the picture, but the white card is actually a shinny-shimmery kinda card. The stamp was made by Julie Fujii - whose company was first "Juju's Tiny Treasures", and then renamed to "Create In Me"... dunno why don't ask. But, what I do know is that I have some of Julie's stamp designs for sale!!! Not this particular stamp, but other stamps. The funny thing is, Julie isn't even from Hawaii - and she makes these cute "local kine" stamps with these local images. The ladies here go NUTZ about these stamps. I haven't uploaded them yet to my online store - so if you're interested in any of her designs, just email me at littlecs7@msn.com and I can tell you which designs I have.

Anyways, back to the wedding... how's this?! I know it starts @ 10:30 a.m. and then reception to follow, in some hotel in Waikiki... but lo-lo me... cannot find the invitation... so I dont' know which hotel it is... I could've sworn it was here in my organizer!!!! UGH!!!

Well, at least I made the card!!!

Card Info: Shinny-Shimmery CS (don't know where from); Ink n' Wasabi CS - SU!; Ribbon - Walmart; I also used the Large n' Small Oval Punches from SU!

    Aloha,

    Jen

Daily Video & Photo Are Up!

Today's video is kinda dark, it was taken last night... I think the audio is a lot more hilarious than the video itself....I get a kick out of it playing it over n' over again.

Today's photo is of Cyrus watching the neighboor's fireworks shot up into the sky.

    Happy Summer All....

What'd ya think of my "Summery Delights" change of web colors?!....

Winner of my 10,000 Hits Fashion Challenge

And the winner is.... drumroll please.... who's this girl?! Oh my!!! It's a local sistah of mines.... I used random.org to select a random name of the participant, and I was delighted to see that it was none other than....

Here is Jus' Jo's work - she was inspired by an aloha shirt of her son's!!!

Everybody did a great job, you are all amazing inspirations to me!! Thank you for continuing in playing my games!!!

Jus Jo, please send me your addy, and I will mail your goodies off to you!!!!

    Much Aloha,

    Jen

Daily Video & Photo Are Up!

We headed out to Aloha Tower last night, and checked out the early show of fireworks. I was beautifully stunning!!! Thought I'd share what we saw - but I'm sure you all had your share of wonderous fireworks from your part of the country.

The photo is of Chazz n' Cy, which was taken on the 2nd, this is when they both got their "Webkinz" which I ordered online. They are stuffed animals that you register online so that you can take care of them virtually. Chazz named his "Vanilla", and Cy named his "Cinnamon".... what's with the spices? I dunno - but I think it had a lot to do with their colors. It's so cute though, now Cy hangs on to his "Cinnamon" wherever he goes!!!

    Hugs,
    Jen

    Happy Independence Day!!!

Hey All!!! Happy Independence Day to All My American Sisters out there!!!! Hope everyone is celebrating this day with family n' friends, bbq-in' and beachin'.... since it's a day off for DH, looks like we're going to go to the beach on the North Shore!!! Yay!!! It's a little cloudy, but thats good, cause at least we won't be burning our bodies out there.
Well, here's a card I wanted to share with you today before we leave for the beach. I cut the traingles out from SU!'s Palettes of Prints, then ran a strip of the green ds paper right behind that - but I destressed it first. Used Baroque Motifs for the stamps, cut out, and use dimensionals to pop them. I also us Hero Arts Gemstones on top of the top to add a lil' bling. "Thanks" is from my CB "Olivia" alphabet set. CS is also SU! Kinda looks like a "firework" type of card, eh?! It's somewhat popping..... don't cha agree?!
Have a great day today sisters!!

    I've Been Tagged - 3 Times!!!!

It's been awhile since I've been tagged, I think the last time was when I first started blogging about 3-1/2 months ago. I've been tagged by 3 lovely talented stampin' ladies, Charly of Charly's Crazy Corner, Nancy of Nancy's Creative Mess and Laura of Stampin' Laura I've done this before (twice) - had to name 7 things about me.... well, I'm going to take this opportunity to "toot my horn" and brag about myself. "Toot! Toot!"....

    So here we go....

    1. I can play the flute. I have been the 1st chair flutist for my high school wind symphony band in my Jr. n' Sr. years. I've played n' gotten paid for playin' at several weddings. (Not too much tho', less than 10 weddings).
    2. I was the Color Guard Captain "Flags" for my high school marching band during my Sr. year. I was asked to return after high school to help with the following year....
    3. I have coordinated, emcee'd and sang for several of my girlfriend's and guyfriend's weddings. All we're very pleased and happy with my output.
    4. I hand crafted EVERYTHING for my wedding....centerpieces, favors, guest book, wishing well box, and even did our own slide show.....then I was asked to do some of my friend's wedding slide shows too!!!
    5. I gave birth to my 1st son without an epidural shot - 13 hours of labor, baby!!!! Um... 2nd one, I opt for the shot - after waiting out 8 hours tho' (way to go!!!).
    6. I can tear up a dance floor pretty good - it's got to be hip hop or dance mix music tho'....I used to stay out late nights til' the clubs closed down (back in the dayz), of course, I gave that up for the best thing in my life now....my family!!!
    7. Finally... the last one....can I toot my horn any more than I've already done?!?!?! Ok... I'm an All Natural Size 36-C... how's that for my last toot?!

Thanks for reading... Now I'm tagging these 7 fabulous ladies: Cheryl (CAKVD), Cheryl M., Jenny, Tracy, Jus Mo, Jus Jo, and Adrian...Go On Girls... it's your turn to toot your own horn...and I wanna hear it all the way from here!!!!

    **Jen**

    Another NEW Element

If you all know me, I like to "fun" it up a bit on my site... so, I'm adding 1 MORE ELEMENT.... it's called "Pidgin Word Of The Week". I'm going to choose a "pidgin" word and have an explaination for you within the element - and possibly even use the word frequently throughout the week.... BUT WAIT - before you go on and read what my word of the week is.... please read the following which I have taken from http://www.hawaiischoolreports.com/:

"It is a mistake to consider Pidgin "broken English". If anything was "broken", it was Hawaiian, since it is the Hawaiian language that forms the structure of Pidgin, as well as providing many of the colorful and descriptive words. It is also a mistake to assume that anyone speaking Pidgin is uneducated. Hawaii's Governor speaks Pidgin sometimes, as do most people who grew up in the islands. It's more appropriate to consider anyone speaking Pidgin as bilingual, for it is increasingly recognized as a language in its own right, one with a very rich and interesting history.

As with other Creole languages, Hawaiian Pidgin originally developed as a means for people who spoke different languages to learn to communicate with each other in order to do business. The first were European and American merchants who traded iron tools, cloth and other items for supplies of fresh food and water. Subsequently, contract workers were brought to the islands from China, Japan, the Philippines and other places, to work on the sugar plantations. Words and phrases from each of these languages worked their way into the language that all understood, the pidgin that has evolved into Hawaii's unofficial language. (Note: English and Hawaiian are each official languages.)"

My words are being choosen from Peppo's "Pidgin To Da Max" book pictured here.

    **Jen**

    **NEW** Element Added

    Aloha No! Sisters....

I have been working on this ALL day... and have been wanting to share with all of you the beautiful music of the Hawaiian State for quite awhile now. I just love the sounds of the instruments and the voices that somehow "haunt me with a sooth feeling", and I know that you will know what I'm talking about after listening to these songs too. Therefore, I've added a new element - located under "My Hawaiian Song Choices of The Month". I have posted 5 lovely songs, that you can choose to either listen to or not. It takes a few seconds for the song to start - so, just click it once, and before you know - it'll start playing. If you'd like to continuing listening to these songs and want to browse other people's blog, simply press "ctrl" + "n" on your keyboard, and another window will open for you, and you can now use the new window to browse other blogs. All while listening to the beautiful Hawaiian songs I have choosen. I will change the songs every month.....

    Much Aloha,
    Jen

Daily Video & Photo Are Up!: Cy playing his guitar

Today's daily video is of my 2-yr old son, Cyrus, rockin' out with his guitar! He's totally fallen in love with this guitar thing since his older brother Chazz received "Guitar Hero" for his bday this past May.

    Today's Letter Is "N"

Alrighty... so in an attempt to use up all the letters that I've recently purchased (CTMH and Hero Arts), I have made a pack to myself to try n' create using these stamps at least once a day.... but I thought about it - and I think once a day is a little too much. So, I'm just going to use them at least once a week. How's that?! I think that's more reasonable, and if I use it more - then "more power to me" right?!

So, here's a card I made for my girlfriend. Sistah just hooked up with a **new** fella, and I know she's been "naughty" as of lately, cause she stopped calling me, and everytime I call her, he's been over at her house. Naughty, Naughty, Naughty!!! I tell ya! Lucky Gal!!! hahaha... Well, I know all of you local girls wanna know who this naughty girl is - but my lips are sealed! The island is too SMALL!!! hahahhaa...

I totally enjoyed making this card though. This is the first "naughty" type card that I've EVER made!!! And what stamp doesn't say "sexy" all over?! My Bella Girls, of course!!! I actually used "Stamping Bella" which she is holding a stamp in one hand and dragging along a stampcase in the other. Well - I inked only her hands, stamped then drew in the whip (tee hee)... and then had her other hand lean on top of the letter "N"...for Naughty!!!

Card Info: CS & DS Papers - SU!; Stamping Bella; "N" and "aughty" - CTMH; Ribbon - Walmart; CB Embossing Folder "Spots n' Dots".

    Have A Great Day!!!

    Aloha,
    Jen
